WHAT IS TECHCENTREWHAT IS TECHCENTRE

Once installed Techcentre will communicate via a CAN based systems which include; Engine management system,

Transmission control unit, ABS, Instrument cluster and Tyre pressure monitoring system. Please note SDM is serial

comms on K-Line

CAN (Controller Area Network) is an electronic standard to allow high speed communication between modules and controllers, via a serial data bus. The bus is a circuit linking the modules to the controller, consisting of a pair of cables,

twisted together to reduce electromagnetic interference, and carrying a square wave voltage signal corresponding to

'0's and '1's, coded in such a way as to identify and prioritise the individual messages.

Control unit programming, live data display, diagnostics of engine, ABS, airbag systems etc is accessed through this

software.

System menus as displayed on Techcentre.

Note:

For reprogramming of pre 08 MY Toyota powertrain only, use cable with

Green connector T000T1522F.

This lead is to be used exclusively for programming only. All other function

are to be performed using cable with Yellow connector T000T1497F.

For reprogramming of all 08 MY on Toyota powertrain, use cable with Yellow connector T000T1497F.

Europa, limited capability. For powertrain use Scan 3.

Techcentre has no connectivity to Elise/Exige variants fitted with MG/Rover

powertrain. Use Scan 3.

Limited diagnostics is available on V8 Esprit. Use Scan 3

Lotus Scan 3 tool. Part numbers:

Performance Information: Notes

1. Maximum Engine Speed Readings:

Each category of Maximum Engine Speed Recorded data is linked, for example:

Max Engine Speed 5 = 7433 RPM at a coolant temperature of 91.66 Deg C timed at 281:13:19 from a total engine

run time of 425:44:48

Max engine Speed 1 is highest figure recorded, Max engine Speed 5 is lowest high figure recorded.

2. Recording of Standing Starts:

Driver instigated standing starts are recorded if the engine RPM is approx 3800, rear wheels stationary and clutch

aggressively engaged (i.e. sidestepping clutch pedal).Note: Exige V6 with race Mode records Lotus controlled launches in the ABS Live Data section.

3. Recording of Engine Run Time:

This is the total cumulative time that the engine has run since the ECU was programmed on the Lotus production line.

Note: Any re-programming of the ECU or TCU will clear data including Total run time.

Before any existing ECU or TCU is programmed Performance Information History should be saved/printed for any
