APPLICABLE VEHICLES 2014 2014 2014 RECOMMENDATIONS xD FR-S tC Tech Tip S-TT-0077-14 2013 2014 2014 iQ EV xB iQ March 06, 20 14 To minimize possible damage to the tire pressure warning valve and transmitter , the following guidelines should be practiced when dismounting or mounting tires onto wheels that contain a Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) . • Before dismounting the tire from the wheel , make sure that the tire pressure warning valve and transmitter are disassembled and dropped inside or removed from the tire. • The position of the main body of the tire pressure warning valve and transmitter should be within the recommended zone on the tire changing machine , as shown in the Repair Manual , based on the rotation direct ion of the tire mounting machine . • Be careful not to damage the tire pressure warning valve and transm itter. Make sure that the ti re bead and tool does not interfere with the main body of the tire pressure warning valve and transmitter and that it is not clamped by the bead . To minimize possible damage to the tire pressure warning valve and transmitter , the following gu idelines should be practiced when dismounting or mounting tires onto wheels that contain a Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) .

• Before dismounting the tire from the wheel , make sure that the tire pressure warning valve and transmitter are disassembled and dropped inside or removed from the tire .

• The position of the main body of the tire pressure warning valve and transmitter should be within the recommended zone on the tire changing machine , as shown in the Repair Manual , based on the rotation direction of the tire mounting machine .
