What is a film trailer?
• A film trailer is a short advertisement lasting between 30-60 seconds, in the form of a commercial for a feature film that will be shown in cinemas in the near future.
• They’re made to promote the film and therefore attract their target audience.
• These usually consist of a montage of film clips that allow the audience to have a good understanding of the film, even if the clips are not in chronological order. The montage clips are usually the best parts of the film. The trailer will include the release date, actors names, logos and specific music to attract people to see their film.
• These trailers can be found and seen almost everywhere, such as, the TV, internet, social media and in cinemas.
