ACRO AND CIRCUS ARTS CAMPBe a part of the “Greatest Show at the YMCA.” Explore acrobatics and tumbling, juggling, stilt walking and an introduction to aerial arts under the guidance of our experienced staff. Circus props, makeup and costumes will all be part of the incredible circus exhibition for families each Friday.

ALL PRO SPORTS CAMPIt’s GO TIME! This camp promotes teamwork through healthy competition. We teach campers basic rules and skills so all campers discover new talents! BABYSITTERCERTIFICATION CAMPSafety first! Campers will learn essential childcare skills, work with preschoolers and become certified in CPR, First Aid, and Babysitting upon passing the certification tests given at the Y.

BAIT AND HOOK CAMPCampers will learn the basics of fishing, from tying the hook and baiting the line, to how to reel in the “Big One.” Throughout the week, campers will enjoy fishing in various ponds. Campers will need to bring their own fishing pole and tackle, clearly marked with their name. This camp swims.

BASEBALL CAMPSummer and baseball go hand in hand! Campers are taught new techniques to throw, catch, field and hit like their favorite pros! Engaging drills and games improve skills and develop teamwork. This camp swims twice a week.

BASKETBALL CAMPFrom fast breaks to crossovers to 3-pointers, the action doesn’t stop! Campers have fun and improve each day while they participate in games and drills that develop their ball-handling, passing, shooting and defensive skills.

CHEER AND ACRO CAMPCampers will participate in theenergetic sport of cheerleading as we put together a full competitive cheer, pom-pom and acrobatics routine for parents to enjoy on Friday. Cheerleaders will make bows and enjoy a week of exciting activities including learningto stunt, dance and tumble.

COOKING CAMP:CHOPPED JUNIORCalling all foodies! Campers learn how to cook meals, follow recipes and even prepare meals without directions. We will end the week with a cook-off competition where campers will be surprised with a mystery basket of ingredients. Which team will be the Chopped champions?

DANCE CAMPIn this all-day dance camp, campers learn and improve the basic fundamentals and techniques of specific dance styles in a fun and accessible environment for all skill levels and ages. Wednesday includes a dip in the pool. Each week will end with a special Friday performance!

DANCE CAMP: HIP-HOPExperience friendship, self-expression and the hippest dance moves in town! Campers will enjoy their favorite music, make friends and learn a funky dance routine for a showcase performanceon Friday.

DANCE CAMP: LITTLEPRINCESS BALLERINAJoin us for a three-day camp for our littlest ballerinas! Campers participate in ballet class, crafts, story time, silly songs and fun games. This camp is a great introduction to ballet.

DANCE CAMP: BALLERINA SUMMER SAFARIThis camp is designed to incorporate music with creative movement. Campers will practice balance, fine and gross motor skills and coordination in a social environment. They will not only sing and dance, but imagine, laugh and loveevery minute!

COOKING CAMP: CHOPPED TEENGet your creative juices going in this fun challenge camp! Campers will be split into teams to compete in culinary games. Using a list of staple items, plus only five ingredients per day and a surprise add-on, campers will create a tasty dish and be judged on presentation, taste and creativity!

DANCE CAMP:MUSICAL THEATER“And the award goes to…” Young actors express themselves through the theater. From scripts to songs to dance routines, they’ll dazzle the audience with a Friday performance for friends and family!

DANCE CAMP: PRINCESS BALLERINACampers pirouette their way into the enchanted world of princesses, fairies and mermaids through dance, music, crafts, games and stories. From Elsa to Snow White, we will celebrate a different princess each day. The week will end with a special Friday performance and a visit from a princess or two!

DETECTIVE ACADEMY CAMPFuture detectives will hone in on their investigative skills working on observation, decoding and collecting evidence. Campers will be challenged to put these new skills to work as we solve camp mysteries!

DAY CAMPDay Camp exceeds the limits of traditional summer camp by empowering every child to be the most original and unique version of themselves. In addition to swimming, games, arts & crafts and more, each age group will experience unique activities as they grow up through camp. This camp swims daily.

FOOTBALL AROUNDTHE WORLD CAMPTake a trip around the world! Thiscamp teaches variations of “football”as played internationally. Campers willlearn American Football, Gaelic Football,Touch Rugby, Aussie Rules, Soccerand many more! Campers will learnbasic rules and concepts throughsport-specific drills and games.

GLAMOUR, GLITZ AND GYMNASTICS CAMPThis camp pairs gymnastics with fun princess crafts. Play hard and learn new skills in the gymnastics center and then make a fun craft to bring home at the end of the week. Friday will include a gymnastics performance for parents and campers will take home a Glamour Pack including a leotard.

GOLF CAMPFore! Our camp is the perfect introduction for your aspiring golfer to learn how to drive, putt and select the right club. In partnership with the TGA, they’ll also become familiar with rules, etiquette and proper technique. This camp visits a par 9 on Fridayand swims twice a week.

GROSS-O-RAMA CAMPCampers will discover loads of horribly fantastic experiments! We will explore some of the grossest things found in nature, animals and our own bodies. Campers will make nauseating discoveries and find out life is full of slippery, slimy, gooey and gassy stuff!

FORT BUILDING CAMPSpend the week hammering away to build the ultimate fortress. Campers will use items they find in nature, careful planning, teamwork and creativity to construct their own fort. Challenges throughout the week will show whose fort can withstand the most stress!

GAME ON CAMPThis camp is perfect for those wholove to play. Campers of all abilitieswill participate in a variety of traditional sports like baseball, basketball, soccerand flag football as well as wackynon-traditional games includingdodgeball, pickleball, gator ball,bowling and more! This camp swims.

FLAG FOOTBALL CAMPAre you ready for some football? Players experience some of the same passing, catching, positioning and defense techniques as the pros to become better, well-rounded players. Campers learn to apply hard work and discipline on and off the field. This camp swims on Friday.

GYMNASTICS CAMP: GIRLSGymnasts are introduced to basic skills on vault, bars, beam and floor. Campers develop strength and flexibility through training challenges. Gymnasts will be grouped by ability level.

GYMNASTICS CAMP: KINESTHETIC AND ATHLETICSCampers will work on improving strength, balance and agility by using the equipment in the gymnastics center, indoor fitness center and outside fitness areas. This camp is designed to be cross-training for your favorite sport. All campers will work with a certified personal trainer.

JUNIOR LIFEGUARD CAMPThis camp is designed as an introduction to YMCA Lifeguarding. Participants will work on lifeguard strokes, water rescue techniques, aquatics safety and receive an overview of CPR and first aid.

JUNIOR ROAD TRIPPIN’ CAMPThis version of our popular teen campwill take 4th and 5th graders on fieldtrips three days of the week. Camperswill enjoy group games and fun challenges.This camp swims.

HARRIS DANCE COMPANY INTENSIVEEnjoy high-level dance instruction for classical ballet technique, modern dance, hip-hop, stage direction, nutrition, yoga and more! We will bring in guest artists and choreographers. This week is reserved for current company members and director approval is required for Company Levels 1-3.

iROBOTICS CAMPIn partnership with STEM U, this camp engages students and provides resources to design, build and program creations to solve real-world problems. They will develop their creativity, critical thinking and communication while using LEGO® Mindstorms®, WeDo or mBot with Arduino and Stratch programs.

GYMNASTICS CAMP: PRESCHOOLYour little one will spend all morning jumping, flipping, balancing and rolling in our state-of-the-art gymnastics center. Campers will be introduced to gymnastics basics by our experienced staff. There will be a Friday show for families at 11:30 AM.

KIDS WITH SPECIAL NEEDS CAMPThis camp is designed to support social, emotional and physical growth. It is a great way to forge new friendships and build confidence through daily activities in a nurturing environment. This camp is under the supervision of a certified Special Needs Teacher. Director approval is needed to enroll.

MAGIC TREEHOUSE CAMPInspired by the series of adventures inthe Magic Tree House books by Mary Pope Osborne, campers will use art, music, science and engineering to explore a different culture or location each day.Get ready to reach new heights of imagination and fun! N-ZONE TEEN SPORTS CAMP

PRESCHOOL CAMPWelcome to our youngest campers! Join us as we explore the fun of summer through stories, songs, games and lots of crafts. Your little one will spend their day engaging their imagination and playing active games. This camp visits the Splash Pad daily.

PRESCHOOL GYMNASTICSAFTERNOON ADVENTURE CAMPRound out an awesome day of preschooler fun in our Gymnastics center! Camperswill spend the afternoon in a class focused on balance, fine and gross motor skills, coordination and social development.This camp also includes crafts, gamesand camp songs!

PHOTOGRAPHY AND SCRAPBOOKING CAMPCapture a special moment. This camp explores camera use, photo composition, perspective and lighting. Each day, campers participate in aphoto safari that will culminate in ascrapbook to take home. Campersneed to bring their own digitalcamera, an empty memory cardand the camera’s manual.

POKÉMON™ CAMPGotta catch ‘em all! Campers will learn about pocket monsters and create their own Pokémon™ cards. This camp is all about battling the best and brightest Pokémon™ on their star teams! It is not required to bring cards from home and campers will not trade cards.

SOCCER CAMPCampers fall in love with the world’s most popular sport as they learn to dribble, shoot, pass and defend better! We blend quality instruction with interactive drills to help kids improve, make friends and develop teamwork.

SQUIRT CAMPThis camp is designed for beginner to intermediate swimmers. All campers will receive swim lessons from certified instructors. Campers will spend part of their day enjoying land-based activities including games, hands-on science and crafts!All campers must be potty trained.

STEM: SLIME FACTORY CAMPAre you slime crazy? Do you love making and exploring the squishy, squeezy stuff? We will explore a different slime-filled world every day including different themes and recipes of slime. No matter how you stretch it, this is sure to be a slime-rrific week!

STEM: JR. PALEONTOLOGIST CAMPWe’re going prehistoric and learning all about the ages of dinosaurs. Campers will channel their inner paleontologist to explore dinosaur behaviors, excavate dinosaur bones and much more! Packed with learning and full of fun, dinosaur enthusiasts will think this campis dino-mite!

STEM: SCIENCE ANDENGINEERING CAMPIn partnership with STEM U, campers will learn the principles of engineering in order to build a structure while using their imagination to create fun and wacky projects.

SPACE TRIP CAMP3-2-1 blast off! Campers explore the planets, stars and even take a closer look at the cosmic adventures of an astronaut. It’s a week full of fun songs, crafts and adventures that kids won’t want to miss. This camp goes on field trips and swims.

SUMMER PRESCHOOL ACADEMYThe fun, friendships and learning in preschool continues through the summer! Each two-week session will have a new theme and will focus on play-based learning, multi-sensory experiences and creative summer fun. Early drop-off is available for a fee starting at 7:30 AM.

SUPERHEROGYMNASTICS CAMPCampers are introduced to gymnastics with a superhero twist! Staff help your superhero through age-appropriate equipment including the Tumbl Trak®, foam pit, preschool bars and balance beams. Campers participate in a Friday show and receive a special superhero take-home pack.

SWIM TEAM CAMPRun by Harris Hurricane Swim Team coaches, this camp motivates swimmers to reach their potential in and out of the pool. Campers will work on the competitive strokes, starts, turns and focus on proper technique. Prerequisite: must be able to swim two lengths of the pool without stopping.

TEEN CAMPThis popular camp for teens offers engaging activities through team building challenges, indoor and outdoor games and swimming. Each week brings something new, so why stay at home when you can have fun and make friends!

SUMMER SAFARI CAMPThis is the perfect first-time camp experience. Campers will enjoy themed play and activities including water fun, art and outside time! This camp enjoys water activities on the playground on Wednesday.

VOLUNTEER CAMPMake friends while making a difference! Through a variety of service-based field trips, campers will earn service hours while learning the importance of compassion and selflessness. Camperswill earn approximately 25 service hours.

WATER ADVENTURE CAMPThis camp is full of fun in and out of the water. Campers will snorkel, play water games, tie-dye, along with experiencing the high ropes course. Prerequisite: campers must be a green band level and able to swim one length of the pool, unassisted, without stopping and tread water for one minute.

WATERPALOOZA CAMPGet ready to make a splash during this wet and wild week of camp! Each day campers will be introduced to a new water-themed activity or game including water bucket relays, water balloon toss and giant slip and slide, while also participating in traditional camp activities.

WIZARDRY CAMPCalling all Muggles and Harry Potter fans! Learn to play Quidditch, perfect your potion-making skills, let the Sorting Hat choose your “house” and learn some new spells.

During the summer, the sports fields at the Harris YMCA become a place of transformation for our sports campers.

Guided by qualified coaches, former Division 1 collegiate athletes, collegiate national champions and other skilled players, young athletes improve their individual skills and learn what it means to become a team.

The low sports counselor-per-camper ratio allows for thorough and productiveone-on-one instruction for every camper as they work to improve theirpositional play, sports-specific skillset, physical strength, agility and stamina.

Led by a team of instructors and counselors who havelaunched competitive swimmers into collegiate swimming, our swim camps incorporate the love of water with skill-building. Camp activities include stroke development, kayaking, introductionto scuba, triathlon training and aquatics games.
