Computer Engineering Major
I learned how to program computers that apply to robots.
It made me feel like a better person. I get bubbles inside, and it’s easier to work as a team.
I want to work at a Computer Architecture Company
Words of Wisdom: Don’t Give Up!
Bio of Alexander Gonzalez• First year student
• Originally an undecided Electrical Engineering Major
• In class I learned that EE works a lot with Robots and circuits. And I got hands on experience with robots
• This course will affect my future in my future EE classes, especially from the lab experience.
• I plan to Major in Electrical or Computer Engineering at UF while also becoming a professional Salsa dancer ;)
• I plan on using experience from UF to secure me a job at Google or Amazon or some other big company where I’ll get paid a lot.
• Words of Wisdom: Stay Safe
Robot Story• So little robot A.Dawg was a new student at the
University of Florida. On his first day of school he had to attend some class called Engineering Adventures. He knew the layout and had to program himself to get to the class directly. But he wasn’t perfect at it and although he made it to class smoothly, he knows he will adjust and make it perfect next time.
Team Conclusions• We learned to always keep our minds open to learn new
information. Specifically, we learned to make sure we connected the Anode and Cathode correctly or risk damaging the equipment, or blowing an LED. We also learned simple computer programming and how to make a robot get through a simple maze.
• Words of Wisdom: Keep your options open, try new things and you might discover what you’ve always dreamed of.
