English Sparkling wine rivals

Champagne in quality but not market

dominance, so like The Apprentice

candidates who visited Denbies in

2012, you are set the challenge of

creating a brand identity for English

Sparkling Wine. The challenge

commences in the cinema with a

20 minute film. This is followed by

a walking tour through the working

winery where you will learn about the

different methods of making sparkling

wine, followed by a sparkling wine

and Champagne tutored tasting in

the cellars. The delegates are then

split into two teams to come up with

a marketing campaign to brand and

promote English fizz. The teams will

then present their campaign to a

specially selected panel.

Designed for smaller groups and

hosted in the cellar by Denbies WSET

wine expert, this invaluable tasting

will form a sound starting point for

achieving the maximum enjoyment

from wine. This tutorial will look at

the mechanics of tasting, the factors

that influence the style and flavour of

wine, and how to spot quality, ageing

potential and wine faults. We will look

at how to spot ageing potential in both

red and white wines and how to tell

when a wine has reached its optimum

drinking time. Best ways to store and

care for your wine. The second part

of this tasting looks at the correct way

to serve wine. How to judge whether

a wine will require breathing or not

and the best way to decant wine.

Bird of Prey Display and

Handling Experience

A tailor-made experience, ideal for

client entertainment or staff motivation.

A bird of prey handling event is a

great way to offer your clients or

staff a fun and relaxing experience in

surroundings so very different from the

office. You and your guests could be

watching the speeding falcon stoop

to the lure, handling and flying hawks,

buzzards and owls to your gloved

hands, holding an eagle or feeding

a vulture. The display team includes

ferrets and native birds of prey so that

people get the opportunity to see up

close those birds that they may have
