Why are you passionate about working with Barry Callebaut? I eat chocolate on a daily basis (starting at breakfast); the darker the better I like it. Having such an affinity for a company’s end-product makes it so more fascinating and motivating to work at Barry Callebaut.

One surprising fact about you? As a passionate model photographer, I spent most of my free time in my photo studio or in Photoshop.

Why are you passionate about working with Barry Callebaut? I have truly enjoyed the last 9 years working with the Barry Callebaut team! It has been a privilege to work across a lot of different types of projects across the different regions and business units. The close relationship between IM, the business and Accenture is truly unique and I feel we make powerful allies to the betterment of Barry Callebaut. And finally, the IM team itself is for me a great motivator to continue our working relationship. Our shared ethos, ‘work hard, play hard’ as IM and Accenture work as one team to delivery seemingly impossible projects successfully is refreshing. Together, Accenture and IM form the glue between different departments, regions and business units and our shared ‘can do’ attitude fills me with pride!

One surprising fact about you? My daughter is accustomed to calling her dad when we are in the car so every time the phone rings she shouts “Dad!” …which has led to some embarrassing moments when my client or an Accenture colleague calls!

Why are you passionate about working with Barry Callebaut? People at Barry Callebaut are passionate about their products and that is reflected in their work. I really enjoy the wide variety of work and the pleasant work culture at Barry Callebaut. Projects are defined such that an individual can have a large impact on business processes and systems and the voice of an individual is well respected. And of course, the 811NV in the fridge is wonderful!

One surprising fact about you? Despite the distance from my home to Wieze, I always drive there with a smile.

One surprising fact about you? I have been working with Barry Callebaut since early 2000 and sometimes find myself mixing up Accenture with Barry Callebaut and vice versa.

One surprising fact about you? For over 35 years – very cautious and avoiding any kind of risky physical activities – I have lived a quiet and calm life… suddenly, I find I have broken my left hand and my right-hand-finger all within the span of one week!... it seems I am getting old!

Why are you passionate about working with Barry Callebaut? Not only is chocolate an attractive product, I also love Barry Callebaut’s entrepreneurial spirit that is omnipresent in the company, both on the business and the IM/IT side. Additionally, even though Barry Callebaut is a multinational company, it still feels like one big family. I am thankful that, over the years, I have had the opportunity and the pleasure to work on a variety of projects at BC and have learned a lot about the fascinating world of chocolate and cocoa.

One surprising fact about you? During my last year at university I spent a couple of months on exchange in Canada, a wonderful experience and the source of my love of travelling.

Role: Agri-business Subject Matter Expert Area: Netherlands

How will you bring value to Barry Callebaut? Companies with a strong dependency on Agri Raw materials are looking for ways to better manage supply characteristics from sustainability aspects to market price risks. By understanding Agri value chains and bringing experiences from other different crops I want to help Barry Callebaut on the upstream part of its business by improving safety, quality and profitability.

One surprising fact about you? I know Belgium is the “chocolate heaven” but the other Belgium specialty is what really makes me smile – Belgium Beers, specially the ones from Watou.

Role: Managing Director Accenture Digital Belgium & Luxembourg Area: Belgium

How will you bring value to Barry Callebaut? I lead Accenture Digital in Belgium and Luxembourg. In this role I am responsible for digital strategy, omni-channel marketing, digital commerce, mobile, social media, and analytics. I also lead digital engagements with key Accenture clients in the banking, insurance, pharmaceutical, automotive, and telecom industries. I have a keen interest in driving innovation and entrepreneurship forward.

One surprising fact about you? I have worked for more than a year for a microfinance organisation in Cameroon. In that context, I have been discussing a lot with local cocoa farmers on how to finance the expansion of their business.

One surprising fact about you? I graduated in Nuclear Physics, before starting to work as a programmer in business sector. After that, I started to specialize in Sales & Marketing and Strategy, when I completed 2 MBAs in Finance and MBA at IMD Switzerland. My scientific background helps me in a world where innovation is becoming much more scientific with the emergence of digital and big data.

How will you bring value to Barry Callebaut? By identifying and driving business value from sustainability across functions bringing the best innovations in strategy and digital from farm to fork.

One surprising fact about you? I used to be a professional ballroom dancer.

Role: Global Finance Transformation Lead Area: Belgium

How will you bring value to Barry Callebaut? As the Accenture global lead of Finance Transformation, I take a very proactive approach to analyzing and staying ahead of opportunities for CFOs to create superior business value.

I will bring our best thinking and insights from other relevant clients from around the world to shape Finance solutions tailored to Barry Callebaut.

As an example, I am currently leading the Finance Transformation at a global beer brewer where we have implemented solutions that automate Controlling activities up to 90%. At another client, we have delivered a solution providing real time insight on the impact of fluctuations in raw material pricing on product costing and profitability.

One surprising fact about you? My house was once the setting of the first Belgian movie that got nominated for an Oscar, “Paix Sur Les Champs”, in 1970.

How will you bring value to Barry Callebaut? From my vast experience in SAP Financials implementations and in-depth knowledge of the latest developments, I will bring innovative ideas and proven best practices to all SAP related projects in the Financials and Accounting domain.

One surprising fact about you? At the age of 8, I was already driving motorbikes; at the age of 16, I was already flying airplanes!

Role: Global SAP Cloud Center of Excellence – Lead Architect Area: Belgium

How will you bring value to Barry Callebaut? I will bring expertise in the SAP cloud infrastructure space. I focus on working with public cloud providers to support SAP workloads, certifying their platforms and running SAP managed services on top of them. In this context I also concentrate on automating migrations and SAP operations across the stack and running SAP as a service in user based pricing models. I will also bring expertise in the space of the HANA Data Platform. Before picking up my current role, I led our HANA practice in EMEA-LATAM for 4 years.

One surprising fact about you? I have 7 cats and in my spare time I make electronic music and like to tinker with live video streaming in a broadcasting studio I built at home.

How will you bring value to Barry Callebaut? 13 years of SAP experience and the successful completion of more than 20 programs provides a lot of hard-earned experience and insight that I will leverage to ensure ‘smooth sailing’ for Barry Callebaut! I’m also a SAP FICO expert and solution architect, with 5+ full implementation cycles under my belt. I’m looking forward to sharing my knowledge with the team!

One surprising fact about you? After 5 years of being a consultant I decided to travel for the rest of my life and quit work.

After a year with a backpack I decided that consulting is more interesting.

One surprising fact about you? I would have been a rich man by now, if I had been looking at my bottom line efficiency in the same way as I do it on a daily basis with my clients! (Un)fortunately, I have different priorities in my personal time
