Teaching Materials- Lesson Plan

• This lesson plan has students work in pairs with fraction strips. The idea is for students to develop an understanding of equivalent fractions. Students will be given fraction strips labeled with 1/2, 1/3, ¼, 1/5, 1/6, 1/8. They will then be asked questions to help them understand how these fractions relate to each other. Students will be asked questions such as how many halves make a whole, or how many fourths make a half?
