SYNOPSIS OF ACTIVITY
The activity of SPACE TOUR IN MARS is about Mr. Spongebob who requests for help in doing his homework. He needs to count the number of passengers in the bus that carries people from one place to another in Mars. After five destinations, the pupil need to tell how many passengers left in the bus so that he can complete his homework. Via the activity, other than experiencing new journey in the planet, young learners can also develop their skills especially regarding number sense and operations (addition and subtraction).
1. Teacher explains what the activity is all about.2. Teacher distributes the answer sheet to each pupil (pupils
need to write down the calculation properly).3. When everybody is ready, teacher starts the game. (If
necessary, teacher needs to go through the activity together with the pupils).
4. As they are completing the game, pupils are reminded to write down their calculation in the answer sheet given.
5. When everybody has done, pupils are encouraged to share their answers with their friends.
6. Next, teacher displays the slide ‘Teacher’s Guide 1’ and reveals the correct answer. Then, teacher congratulates those who answered it correctly and motivates the others not to give up.
7. Lastly, teacher collects the answer sheets for diagnostic purpose.
