Mastering the Rubik's
Cube Jolliff
Students will learn how to solve a 3x3 Rubik's cube by mastering a
new 'move' each week. Students will have the chance to compete
against each other in solving the cube.

Participate in the Spanish Spelling Bee and learn how to sing songs in

American Sign
Language Smith
Students will learn the basics of American Sign Language, such as
how to sign the alphabet, numbers, animals, colors, and much more!
Tomorrow's Teachers Canavati
Students will explore the rewarding and challenging art of teaching by
assisting other teachers with basic duties and responsibilities.
Students will learn new sets of skills that will introduce them to the
world of education.
Running Club Stephens
Running Club encourages those kids who want to be a part of
something that will help their fitness level, and get to know others on
a more personal level. We will do interval training, as this is for
beginning runners. Appropriate gear- Running shoes, shirt, and
shorts/leggings.
Knight Lights Bell
This club will be a cross between mentorship and fun! Students will
get tips on mentoring and then practice by partnering up with one of
the students that's apart of the club. Students will participate in
community fund raisers and activities. Students will also participate in
dance!
Semester 1-Fantasy
Football Club Sanchez
Students will have their own Fantasy Football Leagues. Real world
math skills will be used for them to calculate their team's scores (no
computers allowed). Students will also conduct trades on club
meeting days to reinforce communication and negotiation skills.
Students will compete for a trophy and small prize to be awarded at
the end of the season.
Math League Hodge
Students will participate in a series of 6 math contests. We will work
during the club to review and/or learn the concepts.
Library Club Zack
Students will assist with shelving books in the library.
Gaming club Dennis The gaming club allows students to learn and play a variety of board
and card games.
Ace the ACT Math Atlihan
The ACT is a college entrance exam that evaluates a student's
readiness for college. When considering your future, there are several
ways that a good ACT score can benefit you RIGHT NOW.

Does your score allow you to go to the University of your Dreams?
Join this club if you would like to get some tips to boost your ACT
Math score. Required at least 3.50 GPA, teacher approval &
extended hours (afterschool/weekends)
Chess Club Bloom
Chess Club is open to all students; those who know how to play
chess and those who would like to learn. Chess is a game of mental
skill that has been shown to improve concentration, creativity, and
memory among other things. Chess players with all levels of
experience are welcome to participate in Chess Club. Students will
learn the rules and strategies of chess and play games with other
members in order to improve our knowledge, skill and chess strategy.

In this club you will rap, express yourself through the spoken word

Chess Club
This club will teach you how to play chess.
Cooking Club Sevindik
Cooking Club is a social club that combines following directions and
working with others to achieve a healthy meal for the entire
group. Students make the meal, help serve each other and do clean
up together. Students also will learn delicious Turkish cuisine.
Robotics Powell
Vex Robotics will be for 9-12 grade. We will be making metal robots
and participating in competitions.
Yearbook Club Vest
Come join the high school yearbook staff to help plan and design

Math Club Topcu
AMERICAN MATHEMATICS COMPETITIONS (AMC)Students who
perform well on the AMC 10 or AMC 12 exams are invited to
participate in the American Invitational Mathematics Examination
(AIME). Students who perform well on the AIME are then invited to
the United States of America Mathematical Olympiad
(USAMO). Students who do exceptionally well on the USAMO
(typically around 30 students) are invited to go to the Mathematical
Olympiad Summer Program

Recycling Club- Learn about saving the planet and ways to conserve

Science Club Gallup Science Club is open to all middle school students interested in
science. We will explore the smallest microbes and discuss the
largest stars in the universe!
Playing Card Club Moore Students will learn how to play the Midwest favorite card games of
Euchre, Rummy, Shanghai.
Photography Club &
Jigsaw Puzzle Club Tomasino & McLaughlin
Students will learn how to use a camera, upload pictures, edit their
photographs, learn about the different types of photography, and write
about the beauty in what they have captured! Students will also work
on jigsaw puzzles together!
Book Club Duncan & Kellams
Students will read or listen to stories and do craft projects that are
related to the stories.
Art Club Flagg
Students will learn about unique art making processes and study
modern day artists. They will create art work of their own using
various mediums (printmaking, paper mache, etc.)
Fitness Club Podorefsky & Duff
We will do circuit workouts that can be done at any fitness or athletic
level because they can easily be modified! Appropriate athletic gear is
required, including sneakers, t-shirt, and shorts/sweatpants.
AP Discussion Groups Brown
In this club you will discuss current themes in class at a deeper level.
This will be a time to discuss major themes and ideas. FOR AP

Turkish Dance

Open to all first and second grade students. Students will explore
scientific concepts through hands on activities.

Gentlemen Miles
The young men of distinguished gentleman are the Indiana Math and
Science Academy’s most valuable resource and strength. They are
the primary means by which the social club objectives will be
achieved. In order to accomplish the social club objectives, it is
essential that systems are instituted that effectively help mold the
young men into men of tomorrow. “Live for Service and Serve for
Humanity,” by promoting Love (brotherhood), Academics
(scholarship) and Community (service).

Mad Scientist Club Byrd
Open to 3rd-5th grade students. Want to be that scientist who
invents crazy things? Then this is the club for you. We will make lava
lamps, quick sand, oobleck, fossils and more.
Spanish Club Come and enjoy learning some basic Spanish words for colors,
numbers, and shapes, etc.
Healthy Kids ClubWe will learn about healthy foods, how to take care of ourselves, and
get in some exercise during club time!
FTC Robotics &
Engineering Club Usta
Open to 9th-11th Grades. Robotics & Engineering Club guides
students through the exciting world of robots. Students define what a
robot is (and what it isn’t!), study the myths that surround robots,
examine how robots are used in movies and stories, and consider
how robots assist humans. Experts in the field of robotics help
students learn more about artificial intelligence and what the future
holds for humans and machines.
FLL Robotics Club Yunus
The FIRST LEGO League (also known by the acronym FLL) is
international competition organized by FIRST for elementary
and middle school students (ages 9–14 in the USA and Canada,
9–16 elsewhere). In September each year, a new challenge is
announced that focuses on a different real-world topic related
to the sciences.
Science Olympiad Club Mr. Sevindik
After school Science Olympiad Club is open to all 9th-12th grade
students who wish to continue their scientific observations outside the
classroom. Activities include experiments, demonstrations, Science
Fair/Olympiad projects, field trips, and fun activities.
This club is an opportunity to get support for science fair and Science
Olympiad projects. There are three main activities that students will
get involved during this club time: Science Fair support, Science
Olympiad opportunity, and overall help with science work including
computers, reference materials, and volunteers. Once the science
fairs and Olympiad are over, we will be looking into some other
opportunities, such as Team building activities, movies, university
tour, field trips, bowling, ..
