How will I ensure that this happens?
Holy Trinity Catholic School Division Curriculum Implementation
Assessment Professional Growth Plan 2013-14 All teachers in Holy Trinity Catholic School Division are expected to complete an annual Professional Development Plan (PGP). This year Assessment will be the focus of PGPs. Each teacher defines an individual curriculum-related goal in the area of Assessment, chooses the area of focus, and articulates the required supports to attain the goal. The Process: 1. Teachers are to choose one subject at one grade level upon which to focus.
2. They are to develop a professional growth plan (see attached Curriculum Implementation:
Assessment Professional Growth Plan). This is to be completed by September **, 2013.
3. Teachers will have the option of not only the subject and grade level but also the specific Assessment focus based on the target of improved achievement for students. .
4. The Curriculum Implementation: Assessment PGP will be discussed/reviewed with an
inschool administrator twice, once to share the plan and once to share the resulting data.
5. Supports to consider are as follows: a) Division-wide Personnel: Division office consultants will be available to offer supports in any of the instructional areas. b) School-based: Instructional Coaches Instructional Leaders (High School) Administrators: Professional Development opportunities, resources, scheduling… c) Collegial: Teachers may wish to engage in collaborative planning with (a) colleague(s). If so, a collaborative plan will be developed with the support of a Curriculum, Instruction and Assessment Consultant. Approval of collaborative plans will depend upon the goals, number of requests and funds. d) Individual Professional Development: Teachers may also wish to do professional reading and/or participate in relevant webinars or conferences. They will continue to be able to access decentralized professional development funds.
