When cleaning the floor it may become slippery and this is to be considered a workplace hazard. To prevent injury to persons the following procedures MUST be followed. Occupational Health & Safety Cleaning signs, provided in the cleaning locker are to be clearly displayed. If cleaning in the customer service area, wet sections must be roped off to prevent the general public from entering. A diagram for efficient movement control is contained in the cleaning locker. If mopping you should ensure that excess water is kept at a minimum in order to allow the floor to dry quickly. All cleaning equipment and signs must be returned to the cleaning locker and stored correctly at the end of cleaning.

1. What is this procedure for? ___________________________________________ __________________________________________________________________ 2.
