Such is the sheer natural beauty of the region, Sichuan offers mesmeric landscapes that almost defy belief. The northern, western and southern reaches of the province cumulate in immense mountain ranges, dotted with creaking wooden pagodas. The brooding Tibetan glacial mountains preserve a colorful local culture and are networked with fertile alpine valleys - great for hiking - and rolling grasslands that stretch into the horizon high up on the

However you are required to complete a 100hr TEFL training course before you arrive in China.

Who can apply? To apply for this program you will need to be:

Applications from couples or friends wishing to travel and teach together are also welcomed as most schools prefer to host two guest

English teachers.

Sichuan's capital is Chengju where you will land and attend your Orientation.

What is expected of you? You are expected to complete a 100hr TEFL or TESOL course before you arrive in Sichuan. This international training, together with the training and workshops you attend during the one week orientation in Chengju will prepare you to work in a Chinese International School or university to help the students improve their listening and speaking skills. You will teach 15 class hours a week or about 3-4 lessons per day. You are expected to teach for the 4 month semester after which you can either return home or opt to stay for an additonal semester where your monthly stipend will double to CNY4,000 if you prefer to save some more money towards travelling or towards your first year at university.

This is a No-Fee Program You do not pay any fees or commissions to participate in this program which is funded by the Sichiuan Normal University. You are required to pay for your return airplane ticket and it is prudent to take medical cover for the duration of your stay in China.
