Though Indonesia and A&N Island have a lot of potentials in coming together, not much has been done in the past in this direction. The Chief Secretary informed about the official visit of the Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi to Indonesia and his meeting with President of Indonesia, wherein both the leaders underlined the importance of stronger connectivity, particularly on sea links, in order to facilitate economic cooperation and people to people contact between two maritime neighbours Indonesia-India Seminar & Business Forum organised at Port Blair Efforts on to establish better business & co-operation between A&N Islands and Indonesia: Chief Secretary MoU between ACCI & Aceh Chamber of Commerce & Industry signed (Ward No-3) with an estimated cost of Rs: 9,56,319/- under the MPLAD Scheme. The Chairperson, PBMC, Smt. Anusia Devi, Ward Councillors & general public were present on the occasion. Shri Ray also laid the foundation stones for six works at Garacharma Ward No 18 under the MPLAD Scheme. The Chief Secretary, Andaman & Nicobar Administration, Shri Chetan B Sanghi was the chief guest of the seminar. and comprehensive strategic partners. Due to the initiatives of the Prime Minister of India and President of Indonesia, who agreed to raise the bar in creation of depth of our cooperation, further efforts are being made in establishing better relationships in the fields of business and cooperation between A&N and Indonesia, the Chief Secretary said. Thanking the Indonesian Ambassador for coming to A&N Islands, the Chief Secretary assured that no stone will be left unturned to see that the aspirations and promises that these regions hold, are fructified. The Chief Secretary also informed that recently delegations from countries like Finland and Singapore visited A&N Islands while another high level delegation from Japan will be coming here soon. The Chief Secretary further informed the gathering that the A&N Administration is working towards facilitating e-visa, visa on arrival etc., keeping in mind the policy of 'Ease of Doing Business', so that we are able to establish better business to business and people to people contact with our neighbouring countries in this region. Significant progress has been made in this direction and bottlenecks are also being removed, he said. The Chief Secretary also highlighted about the possibilities and the need for starting of near coastal voyages between A&N and Aceh in Indonesia and also of the prospects of air connectivity between the two places, beginning with introducing smaller aircraft under UDAAN-3 scheme of Govt. of India. "Opening up of the aviation sector in this region is being planned and it will be great to have flights between us", the Chief Secretary said. In the fisheries sector, the Chief Secretary said, the A&N Islands has large resources and can look forward for exporting fish to Indonesia while we can also import materials for infrastructure development in A&N Islands. With the IT Sector poised for big leap in A&N Islands by Dec. 2019, when the OFC Undersea Cable Project will be in place, IT enabled the rest of the World to commemorate the World AIDS Day under the theme 'Know Your Status' on Dec.1, 2018. This will also be an occasion to celebrate the 30th anniversary of World AIDS Day, dedicated for raising awareness of the AIDS pandemic caused by the spread of HIV infection. To mark the day, the Secretary (Health), A&N Administration, Smt. Kriti Garg will release a brochure containing objectives of National AIDS Control Programme (NACP) at 7:20AM at a function to be held at the Office of the Project Director, A&N AIDS Control Society (ANACS) Atlanta Point followed by unveiling of plaque by the Chairperson, PBMC, Smt. 'Know Your Status' World AIDS Day to be observed in Isles on Dec.1 Sriharikota, Nov 29 In one of the longest space flights, India’s workhorse rocket PSLV C-43 placed modern earth observation satellite HysIS and 30 other satellites from eight different countries successfully into orbit this morning. 23 of the customer satellite are from the US including the sole micro-satellite and one each from Australia, Canada, Columbia, Finland, Malaysia, the Netherlands and Spain. With this launch, India will have an eye in the sky to capture the images of the Earth’s surface in high definition. The satellite HysIS can send pictures and data in multiple frequencies with high resolution. candidates in baking were trained

during the courses.

Training Course in health, nutrition

and infant & young child feeding

recently at Golghar. About 20

Anganwadi workers and 10 Self Help

Group (SHG) members enrolled for

the training course.

During the training, Demonstration

Officer of CFNEU, Anil Kumar

Dhiman sensitized the participants

about low birth weight and

nutritional requirements of

adolescent girls, pregnant women &

lactating mothers. He explained the

significance of early initiation of

breast feeding, exclusive breast

feeding for 6 months and continuing

breast feeding for two years. He

urged the Anganwadi workers to

implement the training in their

respective Anganwadi areas. He also

highlighted the causes,

consequences, symptoms &

prevention of Anaemia, Vitamin "A"

deficiency, Iodine Deficiency

Disorder (IDD) and child malnutrition.

This notification is made under the provisions of Section 11(1) of the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition,

Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013 (30 of 2013) read with Notification No. 1197(E), dated 23.06.2017 of GoI, Ministry of Home Affairs,

A plan of the land may be inspected in the office of the Collector Land Acquisition (SA) and Office of the Tehsildar, Port Blair on any working day

during the working hours.

The Government is pleased to authorize Tehsildar, Port Blair and his field staffs to enterupon and survey land, take levels of any land, dig or

bore into the sub-soil and do all other acts required for the proper execution of their work as provided and specified in Section 12 of the said Act.

Under Section 11(4) of the Act, no person shall make any transaction or cause any transaction of land i.e. sale/purchase, etc. or create any

encumbrances on such land from the date of publication of such notification without prior approval of the Collector Land Acquisition (SA).

Objections to the acquisition, if any, may be filed by the person interested within 60 (sixty) days from the date of publication of this notification as

provided under Section 15 of the Act before the Collector Land Acquisition (SA).

The Airport Director, Airport Authority of India, V.S.I. Airport, Port Blair vide his letter bearing No. AAI/PB/APD/GP/2018/579, dated 29.08.2018 has

furnished justification for invoking urgency clause for the project falling within the purview of Section 9 & 40 (1) thereby seeking exemption from

carryingout Social Impact Assessment Study. Accordingly approval is accorded by the appropriate Government ( H o n ’ b l e L t . G o v e r n o r ,

A & N I s l a n d s ) f o r t h e s a m e invoking urgency provisions under Section 40(1) and subsequent exemption from carryingout Social Impact
