New Delhi, Nov 28
Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will inaugurate
two day international conference on maternal, new
born and child health in New Delhi on 12th of next
month. Heads of State from 16 countries and about
1200 participants from across the world will attend
the fourth Partners' forum. The programme has been
framed around the objectives of the global strategy of
Survive, Thrive and Transform.
The objective of the conference is to improve
knowledge, alignment and accountability to accelerate
action on women's, children's and adolescents health.
The four plenaries of the event will focus on Political
leadership, Multisectoral action, accountability and
power of partnership. Parliamentarians conclave and
PM to inaugurate 2-day international
conference on maternal, newborn and
child health on December 12
Ministerial conclave will also be held before the event. During the concluding session of the
partnership forum, Delhi Communique in the form of commitments by various organisations

'AYUSH Grams' scheme in

A&N Islands soon.
Accordingly, the A&N
Administration has
selected three villages for
setting up AYUSH Gram,
one in each district viz.
Gadhinagar, Campbell
Bay in Southern group of
Islands, Wandoor in South
Andaman and
Shivapuram, Rangat in
N&M Andaman.
The objective of
setting up the AYUSH
Grams is mainly to
promote the use of home
remedies besides
distribution of medicinal
plants, to create awareness
among the local populace
about various medicinal
plants and its health
benefit ; and also to
promote healthy living
through Ayurveda.
The AYUSH Gram
will also aim at creating
awareness on life style
changes through
Ayurvedic techniques,
inculcating the habit of a
healthy die t and
encouraging people to
practice yoga on a daily
basis so as to reduce the
burden of non
communicable diseases,

Pakistan will host six matches

A Pakistan Cricket Board said
that the BCCI had refused to
send its team to Karachi or
Lahore for the tournament

countries. He said that India
would be playing all their
matches in Sri Lanka with the
f inal also scheduled in
Colombo. Bangladesh, UAE
and Hong Kong are grouped
with Pakistan for the Karachi leg

Colombo.
The official said that in Karachi,

Under rule 6.19(b) of A & N Police Manual 1963, FS/182 Johena is
further given an opportunity to appear before the undersigned along with her
explanation for re-instatement, if any, within 15 days from the date of publication
of this order, failing which the desertion order will be made absolute and her name
