Into the Son is a Christian band of two families. The families play a variety of musical styles, from bluegrass folk to contemporary Christian. Since starting to sing, play and write music together in 2013, Into the Son has played for mulitple gigs in the Flint Hills area, including Praise Fests in Emporia, patio parties at Grove Gardens in Council Grove, and many other events.

The band members play a wide variety of instruments and always look for opportunities to expand their collection. Adara Wirsig plays guitar; Megan Allen plays baritone ukulele and the penny whistle; Bill Wirsig plays banjo, dobro, guitar, and upright bass; Nellye Wirsig plays violin, tenor ukulele, banjolele, and cello; Maddy Allen plays guitar, harmonica, violin, cello, and bass; Will Wirsig plays mandolin; and Kyla Allen plays mandolin.

In playing music together, their ultimate goal is to bring glory to the Lord and to give encouragement to others through the talents God (767-6305) has given them. As it says in Psalm 96:1-2, “O sing unto the Lord a new song: sing unto the Lord, all the earth. Sing unto the Lord, bless his name; show forth his salvation from day to day.”

The Equifax Data Breach: What to Doby Seena GressinA orney, Division of Consumer & Business Educa on, FTC

If you have a credit report, there’s a good chance that you’re one of the 143 million American consumers whose sensi ve personal informa on was exposed in a data breach at Equifax, one of the na on’s three major credit repor ng agencies. Here are the facts, according to Equifax. The breach lasted from mid-May through July. The hackers accessed people’s names, Social Security numbers, birth dates, addresses and, in some instances, driver’s license numbers. They also stole credit card numbers for about 209,000 people and dispute documents with personal iden fying informa on for about 182,000 people. And they grabbed personal informa on of people in the UK and Canada too. There are steps to take to help protect your informa on from being misused. Visit Equifax’s website, www.equifaxsecurity2017.com.

Find out if your informa on was exposed. Click on the “Poten al Impact” tab and enter your last name and the last six digits of your Social Security number. Your Social Security number is sensi ve informa on, so make sure you’re on a secure computer and an encrypted network connec on any me you enter it. The site will tell you if you’ve been aff ected

by this breach. Whether or not your informa on was exposed, U.S.

consumers can get a year of free credit monitoring and other services. The site will give you a date when you can come

back to enroll. Write down the date and come back to the site and click “Enroll” on that date. You have un l November 21, 2017 to enroll.

You also can access frequently asked ques ons at the site. Here are some other steps to take to help protect yourself a er a data breach:

Check your credit reports from Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion — for free — by visi ng annualcreditreport.com. Accounts or ac vity that you don’t recognize could indicate iden ty the . Visit Iden tyThe .gov to fi nd out what to do.

Consider placing a credit freeze on your fi les. A credit freeze makes it harder for someone to open a new account in your name. Keep in mind that a credit freeze won’t prevent a thief from making charges to your exis ng accounts.

Monitor your exis ng credit card and bank accounts closely for charges you don’t recognize.

If you decide against a credit freeze, consider placing a fraud alert on your fi les. A fraud alert warns creditors that you may be an iden ty the vic m and that they should verify that anyone seeking credit in your name really is you.

File your taxes early — as soon as you have the tax informa on you need, before a scammer can. Tax iden ty the happens when someone uses your Social Security number to get a tax refund or a job. Respond right away to le ers from the IRS.

Visit Iden tythe .gov/databreach to learn more about protec ng yourself a er a data breach.
