IMPORTANT NOTES & INFORMATION: 1. Due to the nature of the product, the architect or structural engineer must verify structural adequacy. Jaypro is not responsible for the structure. Before each use, check equipment for proper connecting hardware and structural integrity.Replace damaged or missing hardware immediately. 2. Follow all warning signs and labels on equipment. 3. Inspect all equipment before each use. 4. Only licensed electricians are permitted to provide power to the key switch, and to and from the winch. Authorized installation personnel may provide temporary wiring only for the purpose of testing the equipment during installation. 5. Make sure there are no obstructions above or below the curtain when operating the unit. 6. Facility personnel should never access the internal components of the winch. 7. Do not leave the key in the wall switch. Only authorized trained personnel should have access to the keys. Students are NOT authorized to operate the equipment. 8. Always require that all personnel follow all safety procedures any time the equipment is in operation. 9. Key switch must be located within clear eyesight of the equipment. Never operate the equipment when sightline is obstructed. Post additional personnel around the equipment as needed to keep children and other unauthorized personnel clear from the operated equipment. 10. Should equipment become damaged or stop working, immediately stop using the system and tape off the area around the curtain. Do not continue using until a qualified service technician has inspected the equipment and certified the system is safe to resume operating. 11. Use of the equipment other than intended, may be hazardous or cause damage to the equipment. Alterations or modifications of this equipment may be hazardous and result in injury. For repair or replacement, contact your dealer or Jaypro Sports. 12. This unit is equipped with automatic limit switches. These are designed to stop the divider when it is completely raisedor lowered. The "UP" limit switch should be considered as a safety switch. DO NOT rely on this to stop the unit. When the divider is high enough, release the switch. The limit switches are mechanical devices, failure is possible. 13. The "LOWER" limit will stop the divider when the unit is fully lowered. It is acceptable to let the lower limit stop the curtain when lowering. 14. Over the course of time, anchors and bolts/nuts may loosen as a result of vibration during equipment use. Periodic inspection and rework is strongly advised to tighten hardware and return equipment to the original level of safety. 15. Preventive maintenance should be performed annually to ensure years of safe, trouble-free use. This work must be completed by a qualified installer or technician. If one is not available to you, Jaypro's own field service team can be hired to do the work. See Appendix A for standard equipment maintenance instructions.

GENERAL INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS: *** IMPORTANT NOTE ***Read complete installation manual before starting any work. 1. Refer to supplied installation drawings. Confirm all dimensions and consult with general contractor and/or clerks of the works to verify equipment location. 2. Install support structure and roller cradle assemblies. The support stucture is specific to the type of building and the general location of the curtain. The figures in this manual may differ from the actual curtain supplied. Refer to Figure 1. *** IMPORTANT NOTE ***Proper installation of a Mini Top Roll Curtain requires that the roller cradles be perfectlyin line with each other and at the exact same elevation. Roller cradles that are not atthe same elevation can cause the fabric to "walk" on the drive pipe and bunch up, which can damage the fabric and/or curtain system. 3. Secure each roller cradle in the "OPEN" position to allow the drive pipe to be installed into the cradles. Refer to Figure 2.

4. Assemble drive pipe as shown on the supplied pipe layout drawing. To connect each section of drive pipe, a 19 3/4" long interior splice is supplied. Each splice requires drilling 12 holes and installing 12 aluminum rivets. Refer to Figure 3. *** IMPORTANT NOTE ***All aluminum rivets used in assembling the drive pipe MUST be located away from the roller cradle assemblies. Shift the roller cradle assemblies if necessary. Aluminum rivets located within the roller cradles will create an uneven bearing surface on the roller cradles and will cause damage to the curtain. Refer to Figure 4. 5. Assemble and insert motorinto the drive pipe using the motordrive and crown. Refer to Figure 5.

6. Insert gudgeon into the other end of the drive pipe and secure with two aluminum rivets. Refer to Figure 6. 7. Curtain fabric is supplied with 1/4" rope inserted into the top pocket. Slide the fabriconto the drive pipe by inserting the fabric top pocket and rope into the groove of the drive pipe. Roll the drive pipe so that one complete wrap of fabric is on it. 8. With all roller cradle assemblies in the "OPEN" position, hoist drive pipe and curtain fabric up into the cradles. Secure cradle assemblies into "CLOSED" position. Refer to Figure 7. Confirm drive pipe is complete in line and level from cradle to cradle. Slide drive pipe left or right to locate the curtain properly. *** IMPORTANT NOTES ***When hoisting the drive pipe and fabric, lifting points should be no greater than 15'. If necessary, small slits can be made in the vinyl to pass a cable or cord. All hoist points shall lift together to avoid damage to the drive pipe.

9. Install motor end bracket assembly (TC703MCA) on motor end and end bracket assembly (TRC703-A) on non-motor end of the drive pipe. Refer to Figure 8. Lubricate all sliding components with white lithium grease (supplied by others). 10. Install bottom batten into bottom curtain pocket and close the pocket with the supplied hardware. 11. Set the upper limit: Run the curtain up and set the upper limit. Make sure the fabric is tracking properly on the drive pipe. Inspect to make sure the gap between the edge of the curtain and the end brackets is maintained. If the fabric bunches or walks to one side, check the alignment of the roller cradles. Refer to the wiring diagram for complete step-by-step instructions. 12. Set the lower limit: Run the curtain down and set the lower limit. *** IMPORTANT NOTE ***Do not run the curtain up and down repeatedly as the motor will over heat and may cause damage. Let the motor cool for 20 minutes between cycles. Installation is now complete.

GENERAL MAINTENANCE INSTUCTIONS: Jaypro Sports prides itself on manufacturing high quality, durable and safe equipment. It is very important however that certain maintenance be performed annually on all our basketballbackstops, divider curtains, wrestling mat hoist systems, overhead volleyball systems, batting cages, and other gymnasium equipment to ensure years of safe, trouble-free use. This work must be completed by a qualified installer or technician. If one is not available to you, Jaypro'sown field service team can be hired to do the work. Call Jaypro Sports and ask for a field service manager to schedule an on-site visit.

BEFORE THE START OF EVERY SEASON, YOU MUST: ► Visually inspect fabric for tears or holes; vinyl and mesh patch kits are available. ► Visually check the drive shaft; be sure it is still level and resting in the roller cradles. ► Visually check the motor and drive unit to make sure everything is still secure. ► Check electrical components such as wiring. ► Periodically inspect attachments to the building structure. ► Check to make sure all roller cradle assemblies are still in line with each other and at the same elevation. ► Check splice locations and make sure everything is still secure. ► Verify all fasteners in roller cradle assemblies remain tight. ► Verify both limits are set and working properly. ► Lubricate rollers with a silicone based spray if necessary.

APPENDIX BTUBULAR MOTOR - SETTING THE LIMITS: *** IMPORTANT NOTE *** Read directions carefully before starting. Failure to do so may result in damage to the curtain. Motor UP / DOWN rotations are dependant on both the location of the motor(s) and the orientation of the roll. Therefore, it cannot be predetermined which direction the red and black wires correlate to. Test the direction of the motor(s) with caution by only operating the curtain for short durations. The limit switches are activated when in the OUT (UP) position and deactivated when in the DOWN (IN) position.

STEP 1: Remove the protective cap covering the limit switch buttons on the motor head. Referto Detail A. STEP 2: Depress both limit switch buttons fully. They will automatically lock in the down position,rendering the limit switches OFF. Note: Depending on the overall size of the curtain, there may be two motors (one on each end)and a synchronizer. IMPORTANT: When a curtain has two motors and a synchronizer, the limitswitches are only activated on one of the motors (MASTER), while the limit switches on the othermotor (SLAVE MOTOR) are deactivated. STEP 3: On the one motor (MASTER), establish which limit switch controls the UPPER limit and which one controls the LOWER limit. This will be done by trial and error. Operate the curtain in the up direction to get it off the floor. Select ONE of the limit switches on the MASTER motor and release it to the OUT position. Try operating the curtain up. If the curtain does not go up, try operatingthe curtain down. If it goes down, then reverse the direction of the curtain and operate it up - it should stop at that location the limit switch was released. This is the UPPER limit switch. If, the curtain instead went up after releasing the one limit switch, reverse the direction making it go down - it should stop at that location the switch was released. This is the LOWER limit switch. Take a permanent marker and identify both limit switches with a “U” and “L”. Deactivate both limit switches by pressing them IN. STEP 4: To set the UPPER limit switch, operate the curtain to the desired raised position. Set the upper limit switch, "U", by releasing it to the OUT position. Verify the setting by lowering the curtain a couple of feet and then raising it back up until itstops - USE CAUTION to make sure it does stop where it should. Adjust the setting if necessary. STEP 5: To set the LOWER limit switch, operate the curtain to the desired lowered position. Set the lower limit switch, "L", by releasing it to the OUT position. Verify the setting by raising the curtain a couple of feet and then lowering the curtain until itstops - USE CAUTION to make sure it does stop where it should. Adjust the setting if necessary. STEP 6: Operate the curtain in both directions to ensure both upper and lower limits are set. Do not overheat the motor. STEP 7: Replace the protective cap covering the limit switch buttons. Refer to Detail A. STEP 8 (IF NEEDED): Reverse the black and red wires if the UP and DOWN movement of the curtain do not correspond with the UP and DOWN of the control device (key switch, etc).
