Courtyard by Marriott Tbilisi is only four years old. How-ever, its location is so significant and unique that the hotel has a special status.

Besides the fact that Courtyard by Marriott Tbilisi is a practi-cal example of modern design and architecture that offers top level service to its customers, it is built in the heart of Tbilisi, on the main square of the capital of Georgia. That is why the management of the hotel had an interesting idea to supply its personnel with more information about the surroundings of the hotel. For this, it made a certain historical excursus and asked for the assistance of the popular Georgian writer and the impeccable expert of the Old Tbilisi.

Now it is with pleasure that the employees of the hotel tell the guests of Tbilisi about the beautiful view that opens from their windows. This is the central square of Tbilisi, the Freedom Square where the building of the City Hall was constructed in XIX century.

Here on this square, under the clock of the City Hall which rings and sings just as well as it did years ago, the balanced hosts and businessmen coming to Tbilisi met with their partners and believed that the place would bring them luck…

And indeed, in Tbilisi of that time this was one of the best gathering spots where Tbilisians could see the clock showing the exact time.

If someone had a serious business in Tiflis of that time (this is what Tbilisi was called back then), he/she would by all means set a meeting with his/her partner on this very square under the big clock. The word of promise or a verbally made agreement under this clock would always bring luck and profit and businessmen of Old Tbilisi believed that this was so because of the clock and the square. Only here people knew and realized the value of time and those who knew the value of time, knew the value of busi-ness and owned a key to success.

The presentation made by Dato Turashvili for the employees of Courtyard by Marriott Tbilisi, which was based on documen-tary slides, made a great impression. The personnel of the hotel admitted that the customers often had questions regarding the photo materials exhibited in the hotel that depicts the Freedom Square and its buildings of past centuries. They had little infor-mation about it until now.

Dato Turashvili once again reminded the personnel of Court-yard by Marriott Tbilisi that back then Tbilisi was the crossroads between Europe and Asia. It is not accidental that hotels were built around the square. It was here that people arriving from dif-ferent cities stayed. The choice was logical as all famous shops, banks, caravanserai, spiritual seminary and even the opera were all nearby.

Yes, in 1851 the Italian Opera Theatre was built on the Free-dom Square and the guests tired of business were given an op-portunity to relax.

As for the place where Courtyard by Marriott Tbilisi stands today, in 1858 the Kavkaz Hotel was built here. Its first custom-ers included the great French writer Alexandre Dumas. He of-ten visited the opera theatre located in front of Kavkaz and later

excitingly recalled it as the Tbilisi theatre troop was one of the best in Europe at that time.

The famous entrepre-neurs and businessmen including Alfred Nobel, brothers Siemens and oth-ers associated their suc-cess with this square. They believed that Tbilisi and Georgia was the best new world for western busi-nessmen and it was enough to visit it once to remember the country and its people of ancient civilization forever and to return to this city and this country again.

Despite the ancient history and the self-sustainable past, ev-erything new was easy to understand and accept for this people because Georgians have always been fighting for freedom.

They fought here, on the very square since the day of its establishment and this is why Courtyard by Marriott Tbilisi is not just the best hotel for the busiest businessmen but this is the place which is an inseparable part of the history of our city and our country.

It was here, in front of the hotel that the most significant events in the life of the Georgian nation took place and this is why this place is called the Freedom Square – the name which the square really deserved.

However, in different times this place had different names and in the Soviet times the main symbol of the occupation, the biggest statue of Lenin stood in the middle of the square.

According to the manager of Courtyard by Marriott Tbilisi, the meetings like the one with Dato Turashvili may continue in the future as well.

Dato Turashvili said: “Georgian history has numerous very interesting, very detailed stories about the historical place we are at right now. Thus, it was without any further questions that I agreed to the offer of Courtyard by Marriott Tbilisi and I am glad that the presentation caused lively interest among the employees of the hotel. I am sure that from now on all the questions of the guests of Courtyard by Marriott Tbilisi will have their an-swers.”

From now on all the questions of the guests of Courtyard by Marriott tbilisi will have their answers

Fabric is the underlying factor, which will always give Ermenegil-do Zegna a distinct advantage over its competitors. For Ermenegildo Zegna, the eponymous founder of the Zegna group, the driving force in his quest to produce the finest men’s suiting fabrics in the world was his zeal to procure the finest wool, cashmere and mohair from as far a field as Australia, Mongolia and South Africa.

Back in the small village of Trivero, in the heart of the Italian Alps (where the brand was born in 1910), he transformed the finest quality natural fibres into threads. In the laboratory of the Zegna mill the first fabrics were created, providing a platform on which the Made to Measure division would then grow.

By expertly blending wool & raw material fibre into thread, ex-traordinary heights of textile perfection have been attained. To put into context Zegna’s achievement of creating wool threads of 19 mi-crons (for a quality extra fine fabric) and 11.5 microns (for a superfine wool), consider that a mere human hair measures 50 to 60 microns and the most flexible of Scottish tweeds measure 35 microns. Zegna’s woollen fabrics are comparable to the most beautiful silks, and even vicuna; the ‘cloth of the gods’ from the Andes.

Working with these fine fabrics, it naturally followed that in the 1970’s the Made to Measure service was introduced, to provide a fully customised tailoring experience. The distinct Zegna Made to Mea-sure style, is highly tailored with a natural silhouette, reminiscent of Neapolitan tailoring and characterised by rich luxurious details and a powerful Italian style.

The Made to Measure service differs from a Bespoke service, which is usually offered by small niche tailors, traditionally such as those in Saville Row. Unlike most bespoke services, which can take up to six months, Zegna can deliver fully personalised garments with-in 4 / 6 weeks and with only 2 fittings.

Ermenegildo Zegna believes “Our customers want the very best. The ultimate fabric, tailoring, detail and most importantly, service. At Zegna, our attention to detail matches our customer’s high expecta-tions and the division is an integral component to the growth and de-velopment of Zegna.”

For suits, jackets and coats you can choose from more than 450 different exclusive fabrics, patterns and colors produced by Lanificio Ermenegildo Zegna. You have your choice of the classics, High Perfor-mance, Traveller, 15Milmil15, 14Milmil, 13Milmil and Trofeo lines and also brand new products of the season, such as Micronsphere, which offers excellent, stain proof properties due to an exclusive finish that nevertheless leaves the fabric soft and comfortable.

The measurement process is extremely critical to ensure a per-fect custom-tailored fit. Specialized staff in the store has undergone specific training to make sure this delicate task is performed accu-rately and with extreme professionalism.

At this point, artisan experience comes into play to make the most of the unique personality of each fabric, evaluating structural strain at various points, the functionality of the various parts of the garment, and the right elasticity and give of each seam. After each step, “Su Misura” custom-tailored garments are subject to inspection to ensure perfection.

What makes Ermenegildo Zegna “Su Misura” garments so special is the sartorial attention that each receives. Every garment is tested during the sewing process, and each detail is chosen with care. All linings and accessories are made of natural fibers, cotton, horsehair, and silk to ensure unparalleled softness. All finishing touches are done by hand, stitch by stitch, down to the sewing of the inside label that bears the customer’s name.

In just 4 weeks, a “Su Misura” suit is ready to be delivered in any one of the Zegna boutiques around the world, where the garment un-dergoes a final inspection and where any alterations are performed (hemming of pants and sleeves, for example).

“Su Misura” accessories

For “Su Misura” shirts, which are ready in just three weeks, Ermenegildo Zegna offers 200 fine fabrics such as Egyptian twill and double twisted cottons and superb blends, including cool cotton and linen. All buttons are made of Australian mother-of-pearl at least 4 mm thick, and are applied in the finest sartorial shirt-making tradition. The four basic shirt styles can be personalized by selecting simple or double cuffs and 12 different types of collars. Monograms can be ap-plied in four different positions.

For the “Su Misura” tie, there are four widths, four different lengths, and 50 different types of fabric. The weight of the tie depends upon the type of lining used, construction technique and whether it is lined or not. The tab can also be embroidered with one’s monogram, on request. In just a few weeks, the superbly tailored “Su Misura” tie, which is entirely made by hand, is ready for delivery.

Shoes and belts are the supreme touch in the search for total el-egance. The customer can choose any of the three exclusive footwear styles: Derby, Oxford and Moccasin. All are made using the high per-formance Goodyear construction technique, and each is just as com-fortable and soft. Classic leathers such as calf and suede are used, and for more daring gentlemen there is even the trendy touch of os-trich and alligator. The shoe is personalized through a choice of lining and sole, and especially by the fire branded monogram of the owner on the bottom. The belt is an indispensable accessory that must be coordinated to achieve a completely harmonious look. Six weeks are needed to prepare a pair of shoes with unique artisan allure.

The legend of the opera art, the singer who mesmerizes the world with her unique voice, who is respected by the whole world and without whom life would not have been so beautiful paid a visit to Tbilisi at the invitation of the world’s number one bass singer and the founder of the Iavnana charity foundation Paata Burchuladze. Montserrat Caballe gave a charity concert to support socially vulnerable children and children deprived of care.

Caballe is a person who knows the value of family well, for whom family means life, who says that without her singing the world would not stop its existence but that she cannot imagine living one day without her family. Similarly, she cannot live without charity. As a Goodwill Ambassador of the United Na-tions, she has been involved in all kinds of charity activities since the early 1970s.

Paata Burchuladze: “The greater the artist, the easier to get his/her consent to help our children and our people in need. Not for a minute did Mrs. Caballe say, she could not or would not do that. She agreed without hesitation. Montserrat Caballe is the lady whose example we all can follow: artists, businessmen or politicians, because if God blessed you with a talent, you should use this talent not only for your well-being but also for the peo-ple who are around you and who are in need. Her visit is one of the best examples of this for all of us.”

Montserrat Caballe: “I have not arrived to entertain people, I have arrived to help people. Have I not been part of such proj-ects, I would have long been retired from the stage. I am a happy person because I can help others with my performance. When I learned about the charity activities of Paata’s foundation, I could not refuse helping him. This is a very exciting project and Paata is like a child, he truly has the golden heart.”

December 12At the sunrise. Tbilisi Airport. Greeting.Montserrat Caballe arrived in Georgia at the sunrise with on

the flight from Munich. A good friend of hers, the world famous bass singer and the founder of the Iavnana charity foundation Paata Burchuladze together with other representatives of the foundation met her at the airport.

Three Montserrats, out of them two Caballes (aunt and neph-ew) and one Marti (daughter) and the conductor Jose Collado with his wife, were taken to the Tbilisi Marriott Hotel. Montser-rat Caballe settled in the room 310 of the hotel.

December 1218 o’clock. Tbilisi Marriott Hotel The business meetings of Montserrat Caballe started at 18.00.

Paata Burchuladze together with the friend of “Iavnana” Manuel Faundes and the artistic director of the foundation Teona Jor-benadze awaited her in the foyer of the Tbilisi Marriott Hotel.

At this meeting the prima donna was to be briefed about the details of the concert scenario. She was excited about the con-tents of the event and when she learned that there was an Abkhaz girl in need of surgery for whom the Iavnana Foundation was planning to collect money, she said that she would finance all the costs of the surgery. Paata Burchuladze convinced her with a great difficulty to change her mind as the idea of the charity ac-tion was to collect these funds from the sales of the concert.

December 1220 o’clock. The Patriarchy of GeorgiaAt 20:00 it was the Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia, His

Holiness Ilia II waiting for Montserrat Caballe in the patriarchy. The singer had come to Tbilisi a day ahead specially to meet the spiritual and religious leader of Georgia. Many people waited for their meeting. The singer went to the patriarch with her daugh-ter and nephew. Numerous cameras of different televisions were mobilized. The main entrance was opened in her honor.

Montserrat Caballe: “When I was told that I was to be re-ceived by the patriarch, I decided to come a day earlier. The re-ception in the patriarchy left me speechless. I have never been so close to God.”

The Sameba Patriarchy Band greeted Dona Montserrat and

her entourage with “Mravalzhamieri”. The hymns composed by the patriarch were also performed (the singer called them un-earthly, heavenly). In-between the hymns, the arias performed by Montserrat Caballe were also heard (the Patriarch of Georgia likes them very much).

His Holiness mentioned that he has been a fan of Montserrat Caballe’s art and that Georgia was lucky because this meeting took place.

Montserrat Caballe said in tears (this was not the only time she shed tears during her visit in Georgia): “The gift of the pa-triarch will accompany me for the rest of my life. It will make my remaining days easier. The Georgian nation is happy to have such a spiritual father.”

Totally unexpectedly Montserrat Caballe performed the im-provised version of “Ave Maria” and dedicated it to the patriarch. The meeting was crowned by the singer Tamar Chokhonelidze with Revaz Laghidze’s “Tbiliso”.

The patriarch handed a golden icon of “Trinity” performed in enamel to Montserrat and a valuable copy of Queen Tamar’s cross to her daughter.

In the end Ilia II invited Montserrat Caballe to attend the morning liturgy in the Sameba Cathedral the next day. When hearing it, Paata Burchuladze said to the patriarch that the next day they had a rehearsal and it would have been difficult for Montserrat Caballe to come to the cathedral at 9 in the morning. Montserrat Caballe whose ear caught the word liturgy interfered and asked what the conversation was about. When Paata Burchu-ladze translated the words of the patriarch, she said decisively that she would attend the liturgy by all means.

December 1211 o’clock. Sameba Cathedral. Liturgy.17 o’clock. Tbilisi Marriott Hotel. Press Conference. And this is how it happened – although not at 9 but at 11.

The singer came to the cathedral, attended the liturgy, kissed the cross and… started crying: “I cannot talk, I feel that I am very close to God.”

The day of Montserrat Caballe started in the Sameba Cathe-dral and continued with a press conference in the Tbilisi Marriott

Hotel at 17.00. December 1318 o’clock. The Opera and Ballet Theatre. General Rehearsal. The Symphonic Orchestra of the theatre and Jose Collado

waited for Montserrat Caballe and Montserrat Martí in the Opera and Ballet Theatre. The singer started to do her job right after getting on the stage. First, she was infuriated by the wrong to-nality and she made remarks to Jose Collado in Spanish. Then, when everything was settled and arranged, she got merrier and laughed heartily together with Montserrat Martí in-between per-forming arias.

The rehearsal was no less interesting to listen to and to watch than the concert itself as only a few people were in the hall.

December 1419 o’clock. The Opera and Ballet Theatre. Charity Concert.Montserrat Caballe appeared in the Opera and Ballet The-

atre by 19.00. The concert was a huge success. Besides main items of the program – arias, duets (from Italian, French operas) and Spanish songs performed by Montserrat Caballe, Montser-rat Martí and Marika Gulordava, the legendary singer made a surprise to the public. Completely improvised and unprepared Montserrat Caballe and her daughter performed the hymn of the patriarch “Kirieleison” together with Marian Roinishvili (whom Dona Caballe saw in the hall and asked to get up on the stage).

December 14After the concert. The Restaurant “Kalakuri”After the concert, a dinner was held in honor of Montser-

rat Caballe. The Georgian supra was beautified by the ensemble “Georgian Voices”. The philanthropist businessman and a great

friend of the patriarchy Levan Vasadze was chosen as tamada at the supra.

Ilia II handed Montserrat Caballe a book about his life and work. He blessed the singer and said: “Some people’s hearts can-not fit even their family members, and your heart fits the whole world… The Georgian nation must be lucky to have the oppor-tunity to meet you.” Then he added jokingly that she too must be lucky to meet Georgia.

December 15At the sunrise. Tbilisi Airport. FarewellMontserrat Caballe was to take the Tbilisi-Munich flight. It

was again the world bass singer Paata Burchuladze, the represen-tatives and the Iavnana Foundation and newly acquired friends of Caballe who gathered to see her off. Of course, with Georgian wine and tears.

While waiting for the flight, Montserrat Caballe and Paata Burchuladze exchanged toasts and expressed their main points laconically.

The toast from Montserrat Caballe: “I am sad to leave Tbilisi. My three-day trip is over. Although I have many friends in the world, only few of them are my spiritual friends. I have made such friends in Georgia and I am saddened to have to leave them.”

The toast from Paata Burchuladze: “I have learned a lot from you, not only what it means to be a high class singer but also what it is to help other people with your art and performance.”

The farewell letter of Montserrat Caballe to Paata Burchul-adze: “I can never repay you for the joy that you gave me during my stay in Georgia. I had the feeling and the emotion which I have almost never had during my lengthy journey. All three of us will take this impression with us forever. Thank you, thank you, thank you!” Montserrat.

The theme of the 52nd Venice Biennial – Think With The Senses, Feel With The Mind – gave full freedom to artists to dem-onstrate the new art of the world without any political, stylistic or other frames. This was impressively echoed by the contemporary Georgian paintings exhibited in the Georgian pavilion.

“We chose three completely different authors with their ide-ologies, handwriting or technique in order to fully and diversely present contemporary Georgian art on this exhibition with world significance (52nd International Art Exhibition La Biennale diVenezia). We made no mistake. All three artists managed to gather their audience at the Georgian pavilion located in quite a prestigious central area called Arsenale,” said Nino Tchoghosh-vili, the curator of the exhibition.

In order to give a certain idea of the contemporary Georgian art to the guests of the Tbilisi Marriott Hotel, let us introduce the three authors to you:

Eter Chkadua: Her effective painting arouses sharp emotions in the viewer. The artist has lived and worked in USA since 1980. In the epoch of modern media means (photography, video-art, installation, etc.) the author stubbornly and quite effectively con-tinues to work with traditional materials (canvas, paints). Her large scale, realistic figures are some kind of Georgian, New Yorker, Jamaican or Miami hybrids. At first sight, her artwork is naturalistic and academic, but at the same time, very modern. The leading theme in her works is woman given with sarcasm and humor at the same time. “This is the world seen in the eye of a woman. The diverse, multi-layered, decorated and polished shape, beyond which there is primeval impulsiveness is felt,” it is said about her works.

Sophio Tabatadze: Sophio is always focused on architecture

in her works. (This is a very widespread direction in modern art). Her project presented on the Venice Biennial was called “HHu-mankon Undercon” and it was an architectural installation. The work occupied two floors of the pavilion. One part of the instal-lation had special lighting and was an interesting construction. Another part of the work is a large photo of an unfinished house carcass printed on a banner with colorful fragments manually embroidered here and there. (Such houses are on every corner in Tbilisi). This is socially a very topical concept. “She wants to show that we have difficulty perceiving the object in its entirety – both in space and in time, and this drives us to the condition of permanent amnesia,” this is how her work was explained by connoisseurs of art. From the Venice Biennial Sophio Tabatadze was invited to another big international exhibition – the Istanbul Biennial.

Tamriko Kvesitadze: The mechanical figures of the third au-thor Tamriko Kvesitadze can move in all directions (coauthors are Paata Sanaia and Zura Gugulashvili). Immoveable is only the installation “Last Supper” (feast on a white tablecloth). The material used is glass – fiber, metal and mechanisms. The work is called RE-TURN, which points to the eternity and changeability and expresses the process of transition in motion.

P.S. The exhibition was organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sport and Monument Protection of Georgia within the frame-work of the program “The Georgian Season” (www.georgian-season.ge). The co-organizer was Arte Communications (www.artecommunications.ge). The commissars of the exhibition were Manana Muskhelishvili, Zviad Mchedlishvili; vice-commissar Paolo De Grandis; curator Nino Tchoghoshvili; co-curator Tam-riko Lortkipanidze.

Tbilisi is an unrivaled city which prides itself on cultural diversity and ancient traditions as it pursues a rapid course of development and modernization. By understanding Tbilisi’s exclusively dynamic characteristics, The Marriott Tbilisi has been able to develop a prestigious reputation for providing guests with its distinguished high standard of services in the heart of the city.

Located in the historic building of Georgia’s famous Hotel Majestic, The Marriott Tbilisi has been both the first-choice in hotels and the preferred destination for locals to relax and socialize for five years. Today, however, the market is rapidly evolving, with the dining industry becoming increasingly com-petitive in Tbilisi.

In an effort to maintain and consolidate its position as the premier Tbilisi location for people to eat, drink and meet, The Marriott Tbilisi intends to compliment the established success of the hotel’s Cafe Parnas by introducing a new restaurant and lounge out of existing outlets.

Keeping Tbilisi’s unique qualities in mind, a new Parnas Cafe-Restaurant-Lounge has been designed to compliment the hotel’s long legacy as one of the greatest, with a relaxed Bur-gundy region Brasserie style – the first of its kind in Georgia.

Exekutive Chef of the Tbilisi Marriott Hotel, Robin Rut-

gers explains that the concept is to embellish on the similarities between the Burgundy region with Georgia – it’s wines, foods and traditions. “The aim is to provide Tbilisi with easy comfort food like you find in the French countryside, not in a five-star restaurant” - Chef Rutgers says.

The atmosphere will be all inclusive, with a cozy lounge on one side of the room while the adjoining 80 seat restaurant will have views of a glass partitioned open kitchen and an adjacent open pantry. With individual bottles of French and Georgian wine displayed in specially designed racks along the walls, the restaurant will maintain the look and feel of a typical Brasserie in décor, seating arrangements and service.

Local ingredients will compliment traditional Burgundy fare of such delights as Chateaubriand and Bœuf Bourguignon Din-ers can expect to find Foie gras frais, escargots, Tartare de bœuf, Saumon poche au champagne along with many other simple yet exquisite mouth-watering French dishes on the menu.

Situated in the center of the city along the city’s most pres-tigious avenue, with all major attractions including shopping, museums and nightspots at hand, the Marriott Tbilisi’s new Parnas Cafe-Restaurant-Lounge aims to provide Tbilisi with a hospitality product as vibrant and interesting as those found in Paris, London and New York.

going out••••••••In order to feel the charm of the country you are visiting today, go

to Sighnaghi – a beautiful town in eastern Georgia. One day will suffice to get a better feeling of how the Georgian spirit harmoniously merges the old and the modern.

The town-museum Sighnaghi is one of the major cultural centers of Georgia. It is located 115 kilometers away from Tbilisi – just an hour and a half by car.

In Sighnaghi you will get acquainted with Georgian architecture and folk handicraft, you can buy beautiful carpets, taste real Geor-gian wine and, of course, visit the national museum where, along with ancient archeological materials, unique pictures of the world famous primitivist artist Niko Pirosmani are kept.

Sighnaghi is a small town with a population of only about three thousand. To the south and to the east it is bordered by Azerbaijan. The villages adjacent to the town are famous for their dry climate.

Sighnaghi awaits guests with a developed infrastructure – here you will have no problems finding a bank, a hotel, a tourist centre, a food site, a theatre and even a wedding house.

The road from Tbilisi enters Sighnaghi via sinuous Baratashvili Street. In old times there was a trade-workshop district along the street. One of the sights of Sighnaghi is its 4.5 kilometer-long tower-fence the construction of which was started by King Erekle II in 1772. The biggest tower of the fence is the Saint Stephen Church (Chavchavadze Street 9). You will see similar churches on the terraces of the town in other places as well – Saint George Church of XVIII century (Vakhtang Gorgasali 7), Vakiri Saint George Church of XVIII century (near the park).

The face of old Sighnaghi is best kept in the old district on the cross-road of the Dadiani and Sarajishvili Streets. Here you will find several shops, the supermarket “Populi” (Erekle II Street 1) and a guesthouse where you can spend a night for 40 GEL – that includes three meals. Sighnaghi also has a relatively bigger and modern hotel “Kiziki”.

If you want to taste the most delicious Georgian dishes, you will find plenty of restaurants and cafes in the town, including “Kola Papa” (D. Aghmashenebeli Street 2), restaurant “Elit-Club” (Tamar Mepe Street 2), café-bar “Iana”, restaurant “Galavani” on the Tsnori road and other establishments.

Before you visit several museums of Sighnaghi, you can stop by the “Bebrebis Baghi” (Garden of the elderly) built on the site of old wine stores (their cellars are now underground, below the square) or stroll on the boulevard between the Aghmashenebeli and Dodashvili squares.

It is worth noting that you will be assisted in seeing the sights of this fairytale-like town by the Sighnaghi Tourism Information Centre free of charge. The center (Kostava Street 10, Phone: 899 554371, 899 981107) offers visitors one-day and two-day tours. Here you can visit the museums of the famous Georgian singer Vano Sarajishvili (Kostava Street 10 near the Wedding House) and of the composer Sandro Mir-ianashvili (Sarajishvili Street 6).

The main sight of Sighnaghi is its archeological-ethnographic muse-um. The century-old building built in the modern style is located up the hill from the center, in the part of town that boasts an impressive view of the Caucasus Mountains and the Alazani Valley. The museum has interesting ethnographic materials: music instruments, armory, clothes, everyday wares and priceless archeological materials from the Stone Age to I century found in the Alazani Valley, in Dmanisi and elsewhere. The large part of the Middle Ages is occupied by the architectural and monumental exhibits from the Gareji Monastery Complex.

And still, the most valuable exhibit kept in the museum is a unique collection of sixteen Niko Pirosmani’s paintings exhibited in a two-part hall. The first exhibition space has the biggest picture of Pirosmani called “Kakheti, Grape Harvest”, the second space has “Worker Soso”, “Feast of Malaknebi”, “Deer”, “Mother and Child”, “Portrait of Erekle II”, “A Georgian Lady”, “Lion” and other famous works.

The Sighnaghi National Museum has an information center and a small wine cellar especially for tourists.

Visit Sighnaghi and you will see Georgia!
