Everything has Changed

• The music video ‘Everything has Changed’ is not a performance video, this is because it is not centred around the two artists, Ed Sheeran and Taylor Swift, but in fact the music video tells a story.

• The story is based on two children that are spending their summer together, they fall in love, meet when they get older, overcome big challenges together and falls in love forever.

• However the music video only gives the audience a quick peek of what this young love could have been like. Yet, they have not used the same setting which was summer, instead its set as a day at school, which they use two little kids to represent Taylor and Ed.

Use of Camera

• There is a range of shot used within the music video, such as: long shots, medium shots, extreme long shots, close up shots, establishing shots.

Use of Camera...• There are many establishing shots in the music video, this is

because the music video tells a story, and needs to set the scene in every different activity that the children are doing such as sitting on the climbing frames, this is to show that they are doing everything together within the summer.

• Within the music video there were lots of close up shots, this is because it showed the importance of the children, shows how the two children are different from the rest of the children. This is shown through the way they have unique bond, and do everything together.

• Throughout the whole music video the camera is always moving, this is so the audience can see the children's energy while they are together. An example of this is when the camera is on an angle, it is constantly moving to capture the stupidity of the class. However, when it comes to the ‘mini’ Taylor and Ed, the

two children, the camera slows down whilst the class in the background becomes out of focus.

Use of Camera...• In the music video the other children are seen as unimportant

as they are out of focus compared to the little Taylor and Ed. This is to show the audience that they are lost in their own world together and nothing is important apart from each other.

Editing• The pace of the editing within this music video is fairly fast.

They leave each shot on generally less than 2 seconds, this is so that it can match the pace of the camera and reflect on the children's personality. The editing is also paced so that the audience can see establishing shot this is so we can see the scene, and see that the two children like each others company rather than getting involved with others in the class.

• There are mainly straight cuts within the music video, making the video look sharp between each shot.

• Throughout the music video, eye line match is used a lot between the two children, however the main eye line match is when they are watching projector, this is to show even though they just want to be together constantly they still pay attention in school.

Sound

• Within the music video there is a guitar, it is used throughout the whole video. However, its just diegetic sound as its just Ed and Taylor singing.

Mise En Scene

• Costume: The little girl who represents Taylor is dressed in a white dress, this is to show that she is innocent and pure. Then Taylor also wearing a white dress to show the resemblance between her and the little girl. The little boy who represents Ed is wearing jeans and a grey t-shirt with a black shirt, this is to show the difference between himself and the little girl. Ed Sheeran is also wearing the same to show the resemblance between them both. However, throughput the music video they do change the outfits, such as: a gym outfit for when they do some exercise. They have done similar outfits within the music video to feature the artists, Ed and Taylor in some way.

Mise En Scene...

• Lighting: in the music video lighting is used well, it is used to set the scene. For example: gym lights turned from normal to disco ball effect, to make it look like a school dance.

• Actor: Within the music video the two little children made it look as if they were deeply in love, like they were married and never wanted to be apart from one another.

• Make up: In the music video the make up isn't heavy as you can not tell that any of the actors have any on.

• Props: Iphones are used so that the young children can share images with one another.

• Setting: Rooms are designed to look like specific classrooms for subjects, e.g. science lab.

Message

• The message of this music video is to show the audience that true love is around, between every age.

• Young love is sweet and innocent, this make people smile as the children have a special relationship with one another.

• The story was meaningful and interesting, as it keeps the audience watching the whole video.
