LOCATION AND CLIMATE
o The Iroquois Indians lived in New York, Kentucky, Mississippi, and Eastern Canada.o The climate in the summer is 73°F and in the winter it is 30°F.
HOME STRUCTURE AND FAMILY STRUCTURE
o They lived in longhouses made with little trees and elm bark.o They lived in the longhouse with up to 12 families related by the women.
FOOD
o They ate corn, beans, squash, deer, bear, elk, beaver, fruit, fish, wild roots, greens, berries, nuts, maple syrup, and wild turkey.
CLOTHING & TOOLSo The Iroquois wear leather pants, moccasins, shirts, and grass dresses.o Their tools included snares, spears, clubs, shields, flint knives, and bow-and-arrows.
RELIGIOUS BELIEFS & COMMUNICATION
o They believed that Orenda was their god.o They had the Tuscarora, Nottoway, Mohawk, Oneida, Cayuga, Onondaga, Seneca, Huron, Wyandot, Laurentian, Susquehannock, and the Cherokee language.
ARTS & CRAFTSo They made Wampum belts, pots, baskets, cradle boards, bead necklaces, melting pots, and mask carving.

o The Iroquois played a game called bowl-and-dice and played music with drums and flutes.
