Herff Jones will be on campus on Wednesday for a class ring presentation in the auditorium. All 11th grade English classes will meeting in the auditorium. Class ring order dates are Wednesday and Thursday, September 13th and 14th, during lunches. Parent nights for class rings will be from 5:30-7:30 on the 13th and 14th in the cafeteria. Ring orders will also be taken on Saturday, September 16th, from 10 a.m. till 12 p.m. The location for this date will be in front of the gym.

There will a meeting on Tuesday right after school for anyone interested in participating in the 2017-2018 Lake County Science Fair. It will be a quick meeting. The meeting will be in Mr. Moore's room, Building 2, Room 201.

ATHLETICS

Congratulations to the girls’ bowling team who defeated East Ridge last night 3-0. The girls are currently undefeated and take on Umatilla Tuesday at Break Point Alley.

1997 - In France, the prosecutor's office announced that the driver of the car, in which Britain's Princess Diana was killed, was over the legal alcohol limit.

1998 - The movie "Titanic" went on sale across North America.

1998 - Mark McGwire (St. Louis Cardinals) hit his 56th and 57th homeruns to set a new National League record. He would eventually reach a total of 70 for the season on September 27.
