Mahindra XUV500 and also some family competition from its very own Tata Safari Stormed.
According to the reports of Hindustan Times, Tata Motors had announced of offering huge discounts
across the country on the Tata Aria price, in order to be able to boost sales of its crossover SUV. All the
previous as well as the existing models of Tata Aria 2012 were available at a colossal discount of 2 lacs
excluding the base model of pure LX.
Apart from a few models of 2011 that were being made available at a heavily discounted price of 2.5 lacs,
car buyers were given a choice of 50000 rupees exchange bonus as well on the 2012 and 2013 variants of

step of levying such heavy discounts on Tata Aria price was taken by Tata Motors purely with an aim of
boosting sales in the Indian market.
As a matter of fact, Tata Motors sold only 821 units during the time period from April 2012 up till
January 2013 whereas on the contrary, the immediate rival of Mahindra XUV500 has sold 38000 units by
that time period. The vendors had previously stated that the company is yet to achieve 10 percent of what
they had targeted in the respective year, according to the reports of the Economic Times. Post this session
of heavy discounts, Tata Motors is all gearing up to launch its all new 2013 edition of Tata Aria that has
been introduced to a brand new automatic gearbox. Tata Aria Automatic is expected to roll out by the
third quarter of 2013 and will be seen exhibiting great looking two-tone paint job just like it reflected at
the recently held Geneva Motor Show.
Apart from being mounted on the dashing new 19-inch alloy wheels, Tata Aria will be seen displaying a
set of smoked bezel headlamps along with transparent integrated side blinkers that were orange in color in
the outgoing model. Tata Aria Automatic will also put up plush leather seats on display as far as interiors
are concerned. The all new 2013 edition of Tata Aria will exhibit revamped upholstery finely done in
Nappa Leather along with which the vehicle will come equipped with 10 speakers’ Harman branded
acoustics combined with amplifiers.
Tata Aria AT will also exhibit a muscular and robust structure alongside six airbags and is designed with
perfection to meet high levels of safety standards. Other than the cruise control and integrated GPS, the
crossover SUV will also come with anti-lock braking system, EBD, a new reverse parking camera and
follow me home lights. Performance-wise, latest Tata Aria will be seen exhibiting a 2.2L DiCOR diesel
powered engine that will generate a peak power of 155 PS along with a peak torque 400 Nm. Tata Motors
will incorporate Tata Aria with a host of changes that automatically reflects that there will be a difference
in the Tata Aria price will be tagged around 10 lacks in the Indian market.
