Hours of Operation Our stores, food service facilities, and rides open and close at varying times during the day. Hours will vary depending on weather, the time of year, and the number of Guests in the park. Before Enjoying Our Rides For your safety, some rides have height and size restrictions. Please read the advisory posted at each ride. Some rides may close temporarily during inclement weather (thunderstorms, for example) or for required maintenance. Smoking Smoking (including vaping and e-cigarettes) is only permitted in the Designated Smoking Areas conveniently located throughout the park. Smoking is specifically prohibited in all buildings, on the train, on all rides, and while waiting in lines. Guest Relations Guest Relations is located at the Ticket Office. Personnel are on duty to assist you with information needs. Pets Pets must remain on a leash and attended at all times. Pets are not allowed on the train, on rides, in the Deer Park Zoo, or the Chair Lift. Please have a member of your party look after your pet while you ride the train and other rides. Pets are also prohibited in food service areas, unless they are Service Animals. Re-Admission If you leave and plan to return the same day, have your hand stamped upon exiting the Ticket Office. Enter After 3 p.m. and Come Back Tomorrow Free! If you enter the park after 3 p.m., you can use your ticket the next day at no additional charge. Keep your ticket stubs and present them at the Ticket Office for another entire day of Wild West Family Fun. Restrictions apply during Day Out With Thomas . Not valid for the Ghost Train ® or Tweetsie Christmas. ® Infant Care Nursing mothers may use the First Aid Station in the Depot building on Main Street. See the First Aid staff member for access. Diaper changing facilities are located in all restrooms except those at the Tweetsie Palace and the Ticket Office. Please change infants at these locations only. Strollers & Wheelchairs Strollers and wheelchairs are available for rent at the Photo Depot on Main Street. Strollers, wagons and wheelchairs are $10 per day. Lost Guests Report lost guests to any Tweetsie Railroad park attendant. We will make every effort to reunite your party as quickly as possible. Lost and Found Claim or report a missing article at the First Aid Station in the Depot building. You may also call 828-264-9061 ext. 121. Mail Drop & Stamps A mailbox and stamps are located in the General Store. Alcoholic Beverages Alcoholic beverages are not permitted on Tweetsie Railroad property. Firearms Guests are not permitted to bring firearms or ammunition into the park. Recreational Devices Drones, skateboards, hoverboards, remote control toys, scooters, inline skates, shoes with built-in wheels and other recreational transportation devices cannot be used in the park. Car Assistance Battery jump starts are provided as a courtesy to our guests. See any park attendant. Dress All guests must wear attire suitable for a family park. Shoes and shirts must be worn at all times. Bathing suits must be sufficiently covered. Profanity, distasteful or suggestive material on clothing is prohibited. Tweetsie Railroad reserves the right to refuse admission to anyone not properly attired. Credit Cards and ATMs American Express, MasterCard, Visa, and Discover are gladly accepted at the Ticket Office, retail shops and food outlets. ATMs are located in the General Store, Arcade and Miner’s Diner. Personal checks are not accepted. Photography, Video & Drone Guidelines Photography for personal use is encouraged, written permission is required for publication of photographs, videos, or recording of any kind for commercial purposes, or to illustrate or sell a service or product. It is prohibited to launch, land, or operate any unmanned aircraft (drones) on Tweetsie Railroad property. What If It Rains? Rain showers can be brief. If it rains, try visiting our indoor attractions such as the Tweetsie Palace show, the Arcade, Hopper and Porter’s Musical Celebration, or the Tweetsie Magic Show. Rain ponchos may be purchased at any of our retail shops. If our rides have to be shut down for the remainder of the day due to rain or thunderstorms, you can get a rain check so you can return to Tweetsie Railroad another day during the current season.
