OR SU, GENTILI SPIRITI Landini at Villa degli Alberti
Famed for the beauty of its architecture and of the scenery surrounding it, the villa known as il Paradiso degli Alberti was the main meeting point for the Florentine Humanist movement between the end of the Trecento and the beginning of the Quattrocento. There, Antonio Alberti and his family surrounded themselves with savants, poets, philosophers and musicians, among others, Francesco Landini, famous composer and master of the organetto, who was able to charm the hearts of his listeners and bewitch birds with the dolcissima ermonia of his instrument.

LE CHANT DE LESCHIQUIER Dufay & Binchois chansons in the Buxheim Codex
BR KLASSIK
The European group Tasto Solo has been taking the early-music world by storm. The ensemble is rounded out by fiddle and harp and, on a few tracks, by soprano Barbara Zanichelli. The result is a true delight. EARLY MUSIC AMERICA

SALVE PSALLENTES Motets, organs and medieval Marian liturgy
During the 15th century, German and Flemish cities, thanks to lay authorities, corporations and the patronage of rich bourgeois, organize exuberant Marian devotional activity with strong ties to musical practice. Motets, sacred songs, plainchant, instrumental tablatures, sung and played in chordis et organo, have an exceptional place in Mass celebrations and the performance of the famous Salve concerts.

EARLY MODERN ENGLISH MUSIC Songes, consorts, groundes
The remarkable musicianship of Tasto Solo’s musicians, their stunning virtuosity, their feeling for colours and shades, their interpretative creativity and fantasy make this program a real gem. PIZZICATO MAGAZINE
DEPLORATIONS Polyphonies by De la Rue and his contemporaries
Deploratio mortis, songs of sadness, lamentations of misfortune.... At the beginning of the Renaissance, the topos of "regret" inspired works by some of the most famous composers and masters of early polyphony, such as Pierre de la Rue, Josquin des Prez, Alexander Agricola, Antoine Brumel and Loyset Compère. With a magnificent group of voices, the musicians of Tasto Solo offer a new approach to this repertoire. The beauty and sensuality of the melodies blend perfectly with the art of counterpoint and the tragedy expressed in the texts.
