CHANGE IS HARD!

Page 3: Taste of TRUST -ology: LKNOW-DO-BE Gap

WHY?

Page 4: Taste of TRUST -ology: LKNOW-DO-BE Gap

Because many people

don’t like change

Page 5: Taste of TRUST -ology: LKNOW-DO-BE Gap

YUCK!

Page 6: Taste of TRUST -ology: LKNOW-DO-BE Gap

and there is a gap

between what we KNOW,

Page 7: Taste of TRUST -ology: LKNOW-DO-BE Gap

what we DO with what

we know,

Page 8: Taste of TRUST -ology: LKNOW-DO-BE Gap

and our ability to BE.

When it comes to change

this KNOW—DO—BE Gap

often creates challenges

like…

Page 11: Taste of TRUST -ology: LKNOW-DO-BE Gap

• Isolation

• Overwhelm

• Confusion

• Low energy and motivation

• Disconnection

• Feeling stuck

Page 12: Taste of TRUST -ology: LKNOW-DO-BE Gap

As we bridge the

KNOW—DO—BE Gap,

Page 13: Taste of TRUST -ology: LKNOW-DO-BE Gap
Page 14: Taste of TRUST -ology: LKNOW-DO-BE Gap

we are better able to

navigate transition during

times of change with less

stress and greater ease.

Page 16: Taste of TRUST -ology: LKNOW-DO-BE Gap

What’s needed to bridge the

KNOW—DO—BE Gap?

And move from:

Page 17: Taste of TRUST -ology: LKNOW-DO-BE Gap

• Isolation to collaboration

• Confusion to clarity

• Low energy to engagement

• Disconnection to connection

• Stuck to moving

BE PRESENT

Page 21: Taste of TRUST -ology: LKNOW-DO-BE Gap

BE OPEN

Page 22: Taste of TRUST -ology: LKNOW-DO-BE Gap

REMEMBER…

Trust means confidence.…and is a function of

two things: character and competence.

Character includes your integrity, your motive,

your intent with people.

Competence includes your capabilities, your

skills, your results, your track record. And

both are vital.

–Stephen M.R. Covey

Page 28: Taste of TRUST -ology: LKNOW-DO-BE Gap

…bridges the gaps

Page 29: Taste of TRUST -ology: LKNOW-DO-BE Gap

…and helps people creating together,

be who they truly are!

Page 30: Taste of TRUST -ology: LKNOW-DO-BE Gap

People creating together work in different ways. They

are anchored in the future rather than the past, drawn

forward by images of what they truly want to see exist

in the world. They learn how to work with a distinctive

source of energy that animates the creative process,

the creative tension that exists whenever a genuine

vision exists in concert with people telling the truth

about what exists now. They learn how to let go of

having to have everything worked out in advance and

to step forth with boldness into immense uncertainty.

And they learn that tapping these capacities cannot be

achieved without people being who they truly are, and

learning how to integrate their own lives.

Think About…

• What change do you truly wish to see?

• What is your/the truth?

• What are you willing to let go of?

• What are you ready to make room for?

• Who are you/will you be in this work?
