Who are the organisers?
Taste of Edinburgh 2010 is operated under franchise by Stripe Events. Stripe Events are an Edinburgh-based
Events and Communications consultancy.
Stripe has been responsible for marketing Taste of Edinburgh since its launch in 2007 and has taken the
franchise to operate Taste of Edinburgh for 2010-2013.
Stripe’s award-winning campaign for Taste of Edinburgh 2009 recently won Best Integrated Campaign at the
CIPR Awards 2009.
Brand Events own the Taste franchise and operate Taste festivals throughout the world including Taste of
London, Sydney, Melbourne, Dubai, Amsterdam, Dublin and Auckland.

The Restaurants
Taste of Edinburgh is a celebration of the best restaurants in the Capital. Our restaurants are selected by
invitation only. We aim to include premium restaurants that offer a range of styles and dining experiences for
our visitors.

Tastey Features
Taste of Edinburgh 2010 is focused on offering visitors an experience they wont forget. Offering them the
opportunity to get up-close and personal with the country’s top chef talent, to learn chef skills and tips and to
learn from the experts.
Chef’s Theatres
Visitors will have the chance to watch Michelin-
starred, local and celebrity chefs demonstrate their
signature dishes in our two chef’s theatres.
Meet the Chef/Chef’s Table
After each demonstration, visitors will get the
opportunity to sit down with top chefs and have an
intimate chat and the chance to see a demonstration
up close.
Grill a Chef
Chefs will be roaming the festival, offering visitors the
chance to ‘grill’ them with all their foodie questions,
offering hints and advice on recipes, skills and
ingredients.
Taste Cook School
Visitors will have the chance to visit the Taste Cook
School where they will learn the basics such as knife
skills, how to shuck an oyster, how to shell a
langoustine etc.
Speed Tastings
20 minute tutored tasting sessions offering visitors
the chance to taste speciality food or spirits such as
olive oil, gin, whisky, cheese, or chocolate in a relaxed,
informal setting.
Speciality Beer Academy
Educating beer lovers and foodies on the different
types of beer available, how they are made and food
and beer matching.
Wine Academy
Offering wine fans the opportunity to explore wines
from across the globe. Experts will be on hand to
educate visitors on how to match food and wine.
Hospitality Lounges
Private VIP hospitality lounges to brand, relax and be
entertained. Will play host to private chefs tables,
attentive waiting staff and sommeliers whilst allowing
you to be part of the festival, and soak up the festival
atmosphere.
Producers Market
A selection of the finest premium food and drinks
producers where visitors can learn about, sample and
buy authentic local produce.
Star Marquees
Taste of Edinburgh offers a number of unique opportunities to represent your brand..
If you would like your brand to stand out, our star marquees offer the opportunity to create
and host a stylish and interactive experience under your own roof. There are two available
sizes for the star ‘feature’ spaces - both offering ample space to exhibit your brand to it’s
best advantage: -

Pagodas
If you would like your brand to stand out, our pagodas
offer the opportunity to create and host a stylish and
interactive experience under your own roof in the
centre of the show.
The Pagoda is 5 x 5m sq and can open on all 4 sides
offering plenty of space for you to welcome visitors,
demonstrate to an audience and interact with our 25,000
festival-goers.
The cost of the stand and space is £6.500 plus Vat.

We also have a variety of stand space options to suit every budget these shell scheme
stands are charged at £245 per m2 ( +vat) allowing you to choose the most cost effective
