Creating a Quiz in Kahoot! Task Analysis 1. Open Chrome Browser 2. Go to https://getkahoot.com/ 3. Click on “get my free account” 4. Select your role “teacher’ 5. Type in your school or organization 6. Fill in your account details name, email, confirm email, password 7. Click Create Account. 8. Click on the question mark that has “Quiz” under it 9. Click in the white script box to type in the name of your quiz 10. Click the purple box that says “Go” 11. Type in your first question in the script box “Question” 12. Add an answer in the first box that says answer. 13. Click on the box below to change the answer to correct or incorrect. 14. Click on each answer box and add more answers (up to four) changing each to correct or incorrect. 15. Adjust the time limit in the upper right corner. The default is 30 seconds. 16. To add subsequent questions click on the “Add Question” tab in the lower right hand corner of the screen and repeat steps 7- 12 until you have the desired amount of questions. 17. Click on the green tab that says “Save and Continue” in the lower right hand of the screen. 18. Type in a description of your quiz in the white text box. 19. Adjust the purple slider to indicate the difficulty level of the quiz. 20. Select a language. 21. Select a privacy setting. 22. Select an audience. 23. Click on the green tab that says “Save and Continue” in the lower right hand of the screen. 24. Click the green tab “Done” in the lower right hand corner of the screen.

Step Action Narration

1. Title slide on screen Welcome to my video tutorial on creating a quiz in Kahoot!

2. Open internet browser To use Kahoot!, you need to open your internet browser. For this demonstration I

will be using Chrome.

3. Type in web address on browser Type in the web address https://getkahoot.com/

4. Click on “Get my free Account” To set up a new account you will need to click on “Get My Free Account”

5. Select role ‘I am Teacher” from drop down menu

You will need to select your role from the drop down menu “I am a Teacher”

6. A screen with a form will appear.Fill out all the information required for

an account. click on create account.

Now, fill in your school or organization’s name and and your account details.

Remember, you want to have a username that your students will

recognize as you and remember. Then click on Create Account.

7 A screen with several choices will appear -select create quiz

This will take you directly to the page where you will begin to create a quiz.

8 Show cursor clicking on Quiz icon Click on the purple Quiz Icon

9 A screen with text boxes will appear prompting user to name the quiz. fill

it in and click GO

In the white script box, name your quiz. I am naming mine Vocabulary Quiz. Then

click on the purple box that says “GO”

10 A form appears for the first question fill in each

You will see that a sort of form appears for you to fill in your first question as a

multiple choice format. Type your first question in the white text box and then

add in your possible answers to the answer texts boxes.

11 show how to click on and change one of the boxes below the possible answers to correct

Under each answer text box is a red tab that is defaulted to “Incorrect”. You will

need to change this tab to “correct” under

the answer that correctly answers your question by simply clicking on it and it will

change to correct.

12 click on the timer in upper right hand corner to show the drop down time

options- leave at 30 seconds

You may want to adjust the timer in the upper right hand corner for each question. The default is thirty seconds. I am leaving

mine at thirty seconds.

13 show clicking on Add Question tab and show how to add one more

question filling in the question and answers and selecting the correct

answers

To add more questions, click on the “Add Question’ tab in the lower right hand of the

screen repeating the process of adding questions until you have the desired

amount. For this demonstration I will add one more question.

14 Show how to click Save and Continue in lower right hand of

screen

When you have the desired amount of questions, click on the “Save and

continue” tab in the lower right hand corner of the screen. .

difficult level labeled, fill in “Vocabulary” and select moderate

for the level

A text box will appear and you will need to type in a brief description of your quiz.

Next you should adjust the purple slider to indicate the difficulty level of your quiz.

16 show the cursor selecting language ( English) privacy setting (public) and audiend ( High School) at the

top of the name of the quiz

Select a language, privacy setting, and audience.

17 show the cursor selecting “Save and Continue” green tab

Now your quiz is almost complete and ready to publish. Click on the green tab

that says “Save and continue”

18 Show cursor selecting the “Done” tab in the lower right hand of screen

You can finally select “done” in the lower right hand of the screen and your quiz will

appear in your account under quizzes.
