Research into similar music magazines on which you could base your magazine. Map out possible ideas for your music magazine including names, possible musical genres and ideas for articles.

I have researched about the Hip-hop/R&B Music Magazine, titled; Vibe. I chose this because it is the genre I am interested in created via a music magazine. It contains lots of artist I would feature in my magazine, and also targets the same audience.

This is a cover of a ‘Vibe’ Magazine, featuring a highly anticipated hip-hop Artist. The colour scheme is basic, yet effective. ‘Vibe’ believe “less is more” and show it through the simplistic cover ideas. Also the name ‘Vibe’ is simple but it is easily related to music so people know what to think when they hear ‘Vibe’. This gives me ideas for my magazine.

This is an article I found searching google for Vibe Articles. It still carries the simplistic idea, which I like. It doesn’t go over the top to tell the message. The image dominates the page which attracts attention to the readers because if they recognise this Artist they are more likely to read on.
