task 11 location recce

1
Location Recce We used two locations for our forest environment: Peppard Lane and Pack and Prime Lane both of which are in Henley. I decided to use these locations for my forest shots, because of the fact that in some areas of the forest the branches of the trees would hang over and create more of a shadow than in other areas which were especially useful when trying to convey darkness in our “night-time” scenes. For the forest in Peppard Lane, we felt that in some areas, trees were sparse and so the illusion of having our two main characters completely isolated and void of any other human contact would be jeopardised by the view of house and field on the outside. So once we had captured the first few shots for the first part of trailer, we relocated to Pack and Prime lane by Rotherfield campus and shot the rest of the trailer there. This forest proved to be a much better location as there were gothic looking windy paths as well as a greater number of trees to create this isolated illusion for the audience. We also found a large dell in this forest, which we used in a scene where the attacker spies upon the two main characters (Mike and I) from a distance. We also made use of the windy paths for a scene where I appear to be running away from the attacker as he closes in. Overall, we felt that these forests provided the necessary location to convey to our audience that the two main character our completely isolated from civilisation and lost out of sight.

Location Recce

We used two locations for our forest environment: Peppard Lane and Pack and Prime Lane both of which are in Henley.
