NO CELL PHONES OUT IN CLASS
Use of cell phones during the school day is restricted to before school, lunch time, pass-
ing time between classes and after school. If a student is ill, he/she should report to the
office to have them call their parent. Teachers will be taking phones that are out in class
to the office for pick up by the parent/guardian. If a parent/guardian needs to get a
message to their student, they should call the school and the message will be relayed
to the student.

The Board of Education decided to use Friday, April 5 as another inclement weath-er makeup day. Let me recap for you what we are doing to ensure we meet the instructional minutes required by our Department of Public Instruction for this school year. The following days have been converted to face-to-face days with students: Monday, February 18 (already held school on this day) Friday, April 5 Monday, April 22 Friday, May 17 We have also added 10 minutes to the school day beginning on Monday, March 4 which provides us with another 1.5 days of instructional minutes. At this time, the last day of school for the 2018-19 school year is still Thursday, June 6. If we do have additional inclement weather which results in a school de-lay or closure, we will need to make up time on Friday, June 7. Please mark your calendars for school to be in session on days listed above. We will send out reminders via email and social media prior to each date that has been converted to a school day so that you don't forget. If you made plans for any of these days and your child(ren) cannot attend school, please remember to send a note to school and the absence(s) will be excused. Thank you for your attention to this information. Cindy Zahrte, District Administrator
