The Cool House: House Coolant using Water as a Heat Transferring Agent
Cruz, T.D., Esguerra, H.A.D., Pangilinan, M.J.D.
Description: The device generally uses the concepts of heat transfer and filtration. Water, that will fall from the elevated reservoir shall pour to the surface of the roof, thus making it cooler. Through this, the heat of the air shall transfer from higher to lower temperatures. The air shall have a lower temperature and cool the house. The water on the surface of the roof will fall to a gutter system then go through a process of fil-tration through soil. This soil is multipurpose because it can be used as planting grounds and can cool the water. A pump is connected to another reservoir where the used water will go and it will transport the water back to the ele-vated reservoir, thus, repeating the process/cycle.
Abstract
This research involves the use of continuous water flow from a water pump to cool a house. The goal of this re-search is to provide another alternative for cooling a house without consuming a higher amount of electricity. This research introduces the idea of non-electric cooling of houses and the innovation of water pumps to supply the continuous water flow that would act as a coolant of the house. The effectiveness of the device was tested through actual of testing of a prototype house, with the device, and another without the device. This research is said to be innovative, cost-effective and environment-friendly
