Papua New Guinea was rocked by an earthquake on 25 February 2018. The 7.5 magnitudeearthquake struck the heart of the island near the Southern Highlands area, with tremors feltacross the surrounding region. The phenomenon was recorded at a depth of 10km, at 03:44local time (17:44 UTC).The present map shows the damage grade assessment in the area of Tari (PAPUA NEWGUINEA). The analysis has been conducted from post-event satellite image by means ofvisual interpretation. No affected areas or damage can be detected from the analysedsatellite imagery. The estimated geometric accuracy is 5 m CE90 or better, from nativepositional accuracy of the background satellite image.
