Senate breakout group on Targeted Endowment - Issues

• Resources for current faculty to grow and develop across time.

• Technology for all

• Support for teaching faculty to conduct scholarship

• Support Infrastructure Basic space. Clerical assistance (access to work-study students). Bureau for Technical Assistance translated to the field. Support for computing and statistics.

Proposed Activities

Named Virtual Faculty Development Center to support:

1. Buying of Faculty Time to retain and refresh.

2. Central Resource for technical, statistical and personnel support .

3. Research grants for mid-career faculty.

4. Comprehensive Mentoring Program for all levels. Deans. Department Chairs. Full Professors. Associate Professors. Assistants/Instructor lectures.
