My students range in age from four years to adults. Most of them enjoy performing and last year, in addition to playing in my studio concerts and performing at seniors` centres, participated in all the major competitive music festivals, receiving 1st, 2nd and 3rd place certificates as well as many scholarships. My students also play at ORMTA adjudications, and in April of 2013 thirteen were chosen to perform at the ORMTA Central Toronto recital. These students were awarded the Junior Canadian Music Trophy as well as Senior Duet, Senior Contemporary Music and Senior Outstanding Performance scholarships. My student Lilian Jin won 1st prize in the American Protégé competition and received the 2nd place scholarship in the ORMTA Provincial competition.
