2009 Writers’ Workshop Draws Record Attendance

The 33rd annual Writers’ Workshop was held in the Washington, D.C.-area on Sunday, October 4, 2009. A record

number of attendees turned out for the annual fall workshop. The workshop, which began in 1976, has expanded over three decades — from a very small gathering of immigration leader-activists into a major assembly of activists, writers, editors, con-sultants, and public officials. Here are some of the speakers who addressed this year’s workshop.
