Levels and OutcomesPowerkid offers two streams of Tamil Classes
Stream A - Written and Spoken Tamil5 Study Levels - Each Level takes ~60 hours
Level -1Students will learn Uyir and Mai Aluithukal. The student will be able to say words seeing the pictures based on thesealphabets. student will learn days of the week and months in Tamil. They will be taught vegetables / fruits/ colours andflowers. They will also learn animal and insect names. They will learn to sing basic rhymes with expressions. Childrenwill be able to say numbers from 1 to 10 in Tamil.
Level -2Students will get thorough knowledge of all the alphabets in Tamil. They will be taught the sound of each letter. Childrenwill be able to fill the missing letters by seeing the pictures of the alphabets. Children will be fluent in reading 2 and 3letter words.They will learn the second set of names of vegetables/fruits/flowers and animals. They will also learn thetastes and sounds of animals and nature. Students will be able to speak short conversation and will be able to introducethemselves.
Level – 3The student will be able to read short sentences and understand the meanings. Student will be able to answer a shortconversation.They will understand the relationship in the family and able to name to them.Children will be able to matchthe words with the picture. Children will learn one line poem in Aathi Chudi and Kondrai Vendhan. Children will learnopposites. They will be able to describe an object in 2 to 3 sentences.
Level – 4
Children will learn to write small sentences on their own by seeing the pictures. Children will be able to express ,describe the objects. Speaking skills will be improved. Children will understand the puzzles . Children will be taught toread instructions and understand. They will learn basic grammar in questioning. Children will learn Kural and Nalvazhipoem.
Level – 5
Children will be able to understand basic poems like folk songs and proverbs. Children will be able to read a passageand able to answer the questions. Children will be able to discuss on small topics about visiting a place. Children willlearn Mudurai and Kural. Children will be able to write letters. Basic grammar on gender and Tense will be taught.
Stream B - Spoken Tamil1 Level Course takes ~60 hours
Learn to converse in Tamil, geared towards spoken Tamil. Classes taught using Powerkid materials, conversationallearning and other readily available videos. The classes will be taught through EnglishThis will be a highly experiential learning for the student through a teacher whose native language will be Tamil.

The course fee is payable in full or in installments. We offer several installments plans from monthly to qtrlyThe classes can be taken at the scheudle of the students. Classes can be scheduled multiple times a week or once a weekThe fees can be paid through domestic or international credit card through our payment link.
Class Scheduling and Course SelectionOur Tamil Classes is fully online and the class typically lasts for 1 hour.
Once you sign up the teacher will be able to assess current level of the student and assign thestudent to a level.
One can schedule classes every day or few times a week or one time a week based on yourconvenience. We will assign teachers based on the course and the schedule.
Our scheduler will provide the full syllabus that the students will go through and all materials willbe shared online.
All of our courses are outcome based and you can complete the classes at your pace. If the student is not able to attend class, we can reschedule up to 10% of the classes to another suitable time.

Balavikas aims at developing today's children to future leaders.In the course students learn the human value system through storytelling and cultural connection.
