Cultural/Vocational Activities
Role of Education Volunteers (EVs):
Nomination of Special Teachers / EVs by VEC / SMC / NGO with minimum +2 with Dted qualification
EVs should ensure continued attendance of children in the class
Provided study and support material / ABL Cards / Text books (tremester pattern)
Twenty days training to EVs and on-site academic support.
3 days content enrichment training in the last week of every month upto December

Induction & Mainstreaming:• BRTEs : review the progress of the child and take
steps to improve their performance in subjects.
• EVs / NGOs and HM of the concerned Special training centre will be responsible for inducting them in the formal school.
Child tracking and Monitoring Register- maintained at BRC level
Tracking of each child is continued till they complete VIII std
Performance of each child(mainstreamed/Direct enrolment is assessed by BRTEs during their visit
slow learners are identified and given spl. coaching after school hours by school teacher or Education volunteer

Panchayat Presidents’ Role
To create awareness to the importance of admitting the wards in schools
To motivate parents to keep their children in Schools.
To co-ordinate with District Administration, BRCs and School authorities to get all children in their Panchayat enrolled in school.
To ensure that the beneficiaries get the benefits of govt schemes vis-à-vis ensure enrollment of their wards in school
Self Help Group Role
To motivate parents to keep their children in Schools.
To co-ordinate to enroll all children in their Panchayat are in school.
Headmaster’s Role
To keep the school environment clean and tidy
To motivate all children to practise personal hygiene
They should wear footwear and use toilets.
To ensure healthy environment for the children to continue their studies
Education Department Role
To ensure availability of resources including Teaching and Non-teaching Staff
To appoint local youth as teachers after training, wherever there is a vacancy in schools for teachers especially in hilly areas through PTA
16 teachers have been appointed in Bettamugulalam Panchayat which is one of the most inaccessible and large Panchayats in Krishnagiri District with 52 hamlets (28 tribal hamlets).

Recognise Panchayat President with “Child Friendly Panchayat President Award” for 100% enrolment
So for two Panchayat Presidents have been awarded on Independence and Republic days
Recognise Headmasters with “Child Friendly Headmaster Award” for ensuring a clean and tidy environment

Act like the Ambassadors of the Collector.
Special Training centre's – Child Friendly.
1000 children studying in the 9th and 11th standards from good economic background and with personal commitment are trained to mentor these children who are mainstreamed to regular schools.

Irula Primitive Tribes – 40 children from 26 families• A widowed mother from Kanagamutlu village
had been given a job of a helper, which led to enrollment of her daughter and son in regular school

• 7 drop out boys rescued from a roadside hotel in Somanathapuram and were enrolled in Krishnagiri Residential Camp, family members were extended loans and house site pattas
• Two sisters (Nirmala and Rajathi) turned street beggars were enrolled in KGBV, their mother appointed as a cook at KGBV
