1. Introduction

1.1 About Student Registration R1 Module

Student Registration module deals with student record like admission details, personal details, contact details, qualification details, certificate details, fee remittance, photo, signature. These details will be entered and verified by institutions and also by Board. The student record could be viewed by institution at any point of time. This module also has admin settings like initiation of academic session, qualifying exam and subjects. The Board team can also view student's report like registration statement, admission register, annual statistics of foreign student report, student enrollment report, and admission rank list.

1.2 Minimum Requirements

The following resources are the minimum requirements

Hardware PC (Computer System) with minimum 20 GB Hard disk, 512 MB RAM, 104 Keys Keyboard, Mouse, 15” Monitor. Internet Connection Broad band connection (minimum 256 kbps recommended)

Software Operating system: Windows XP / 2000/ 2003 or above/ Linux Browser: Fire fox/ Internet Explorer 6.0 or above

1.4 How do I get into Student Registration Module?

1. Open the browser window 2. In the Address bar, type in the following website address: http://www.dmecms.tn.gov.in/cmsdme 3. The Log-in Page of the application as indicated in Fig 1will open up

4. Enter the user name, password and verification code. 5. The links as shown in Fig 1 will appear 6. Click on Student Registration link on the left side of the menu.

2 Registration:

The registration module is classified into 4 screens Registration – only institution can access this screen, Data will be entered by the R1 users of institution [Office Person]. Registration Verification – only institution can access this screen, Data entered by R1 user will be verified by R2 user [Dean/HOD] Registration Approval – Only Board can access this screen, Data will be approved by Board, with institution officials at specified date in Board. Register Number Generation – Only Board can access this screen, Based on approval of candidates register number will be generated.

2.1 Registration details:

On Successful initiation of admission session, this screen is accessible to institutions. Also the admin user needs to open the registration to all institutions /selected institutions [Administration → Access Settings Module]. The data entered by institution will be viewed at any point of time. In this screen the institution R1 user needs to select following data,

Admission Session Course name Institution name. On click - View Details, registered candidates will be displayed. On click – New Entry, R1 user can start entering the candidate data. On click – Seat Status displays the eligible seats in that institution.

2.2 New Entry

The institution user will enter the following data,

All the fields in red color are mandatory.

Admission Type: Select the data whichever is applicable for the candidates.

Admission Quota State government /Management/All India/NRI/Board etc.

Date of joining.

2.4 Candidates Particulars:

Enter the Name, DOB

Select Nationality, Community whichever is applicable.

2.5 Contact Details:

All the fields in red color are mandatory.

Enter the Permanent Address, if present address is same please check the checkbox.

Enter the phone no, mobile no, mail id.

2.6 Qualification Details:

Select the correct qualification details and fill the data as required. Based on selection, enter the marks obtained from qualifying exams. [Which ever applicable]

2.7 Certificate Details:

Not Mandatory fields.

2.8 Fee Remittance:

All fields are mandatory. Enter the fee paid details. Name of bank, amount, payment date, Chllan no/Online reference no if any.

2.9 Photo and Signature:

By the click on Add file, browse the photo file [jpg format, max of 20 kb] and upload the same. By the click on Add file, browse the signature file [jpg format, max of 20 kb] and upload the same. No uppercase letter or special character in file name.

If any other details need to enter, the R1 user of institution can update the same in remarks field. After completion of all the mandatory fields, the user can submit the data.

3 Marks Entry

This Screen is specific to the Board for Marks Entry in an Board for written examination and the

following data to be filled

Enter the Exam session

Enter the Course

Enter the Subject

Enter the Examiner

Enter the Valuation

Enter the Packet No

Enter the No. of Answer Scripts

And then proceed

4 View & Submit for Institution Verification

This Screen is specific to the Board to view and submit for institution verification for exam application

and to enter the following data’s to be filled

Enter the exam session

Enter the Course group

Enter the Course

Enter the institution

And then click on view Examination Gallery
