Led by one of the leading women theologians in Europe. The programme is designedfor a maximum of eighteen people too ensure that there is a constant dialogue and exploration of the concepts being discussed.
It is wide ranging in scope drawing on key classical thinkers, texts and contemporary issues facing individuals, communities and society.
PART 1 | Focus: Tawhid
Theology: How do we talk about The Divine?
What can we know and if so how? (Epistomology).
Experience, reason, and revelation ('aql & naql’).
Scripture and scriptures: reading with mind and heart.
Monotheism: The One - The Unique.
The 99 Names and their relevance for human experience.
Practice and experience of encounter.
‘Know yourself ’ – Feuerbach.
Consequences of unity: individual - society – creation.
Relationships: concept of ‘din’.
Religion: the ‘prophetic’ element (conscience).
Balance and imbalance – expressions and issues.
Problem zones: indirect idolatry, imbalance.

Prophecy, revelation and reason: is revelation necessary?
Theology of religions.
Concepts of the ‘human’.
Knowledge and tradition – impact, insight, role and purpose today.
