SUNSHINE Corvin Tademy is busy dealing with his arthritic hips as well as caring for his wife who just had surgery replacing both hips. We last saw Corvin painfully finishing his last round in the club championship. He is receiving medications as well as physical therapy to help get him back with less pain. Hopefully we will see him at Wednesday's luncheon. Raz has recovered from the viral infection he was suffering from which was associated with his heart transplant. He just spent a couple of days in Palo Alto where the doctors fine-tuned his pacemaker. He is looking forward to a lot fewer hospital appointments. Perry Geist is starting to get around a lot better after suffering a stroke. He showed up Monday sporting a cane that looked a lot like a putter. We are glad to see him on the recovery path. Lonnie Marsh is going to Mexico for treatment of his prostate cancer that has returned. Lonnie has done a great deal of research on the new treatment and feels confident of a positive result. Lonnie and Lori will leave this Sunday and will be back on Dec. 1. Lonnie's only regret is that there is no lawn bowling at his hotel. Dennis Tomey is busy taking care of Carole as she continues her struggle with cancer. She has started an arduous series of treatments which will include three six- hour treatments.

Each treatment is separated by 21 days. What a warrior.

I had a pleasant conversation with Don Glenn who is doing as well as can be expected. He is going to try and attend next Wednesday's luncheon. And finally Bob Dusell is doing so well after his surgery that he is out playing tennis. I guess it takes a lot longer to recover in order to play golf.

I was unable to reach Rocky DeMarino but will drop by his home next week to try and find out what is happening with him.

“Mikey’s Corner”

Mikey Mastrocovo has offered to take photos from time to time of members attending various SIR functions and the

pictures will be shown in the current SIR bulletin.

He might be taking photos out at the golf course, at the Luncheon, and certainly at the yearly Picnic and the Christmas Party.

So if you see Mikey with a camera…… smile !! Some photos by Bob Du Sell
