By recognizing the contribution of your employees you can enhance their workability, along with performance. There are several employee recognition programs available but which one is beneficial for your company and how, let’s find it out, At a workstation, whether it is an office or an industrial unit, the workability of the employees contributes towards success of the organization. They work hard to impress their boss, to be known among their colleagues, and to achieve a better career goal. If these hard working employees are not given what they deserve then it can hamper the growth of your organization as well. An employee devoted his time to influence a client and also succeeded in generating the lead. If his hard work is not recognized, then the employee may not perform the way he did this time. Everyone wants to be recognized for their hard work, especially in the work station. It is the responsibility of the employer to appreciate the work of the staff, so that they keep on working good and benefit the company. The kind of environment presented at the work station, the facilities provided to the employees and the rewards given to them are some of the ways of followed for employee recognition in the workstation. You cannot expect to retain your employees with the regular annual raises and that fascinating coffee machine. It needs much more than that to keep the workers happy and motivated to perform more. All the companies are paying monthly salary to their employees; they also raise their salary once in a year or provide basic amenities to them. You can be different with precise employee recognition program to improve their performance at the work station. A reward as part of the employee recognition programs, at the end of the work done or on a monthly basis can be the right way to acknowledge the work of the employee. At the beginning of the project you can declare that the best performer will receive certain amount of money as incentive and also a certificate for his performance. Likewise formulate a policy to declare the performer of the month as the worker or employee of the month by hanging his photograph on the wall of fame of your office. Isn’t any worker will try to work hard after seeing his picture as the worker of the month on the wall? Instead of acknowledging the work of the team leader, appreciate the entire team, one by one, each member of the team must be given something for their contribution. Let the employees work hard for the entire month and organize a small award function in the office to appreciate the performance of the hard working employees and present them their incentive in front of everyone. This memorable moment will generate moral of others as well and they will also contribute by perking up their performance.
