Full- or part-time program of study MSOE’s Direct Entry Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) program is for students with an earned bachelor’s degree in another discipline who want to transition to a career in nursing. Through this program, students will earn their Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) through our Accelerated BSN program in 18 months. During this time, students complete nine graduate credits and take the NCLEX examination. The program then seamlessly progresses into the MSN Leadership and Management program. The Leadership and Management track is designed to prepare professional nurses with the skills they need to transform health care by improving outcomes and leading change at the systems level.

• The baccalaureate degree program in nursing and master’s degree program in nursing at Milwaukee School of Engineering are accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (http://www.ccneaccreditation.org).

ADMISSION CRITERIA

• Complete the free application at msoe.edu/apply

• Submit all official post-secondary transcripts (GPA requirements*)

• Undergraduate statistics course within the last five years

• A criminal background check and urine drug screen will be done on all students entering the program

*GPA 3.0. An applicant with a GPA between 2.70 and 3.00 (on a 4.00 scale) may be considered for admission following a writing assessment and formal interview with the program director and graduate program faculty.
