EDUCATIONAL PARTNERSHIPS

Every year the AOWMA makes a determined effort to provide valuable educational opportunities for the delegates to the trade show and convention. As the demographic in the industry changes and the industry grows, so the need for education becomes more and more important. As an exhibitor to the 2016 Trade Show, the AOWMA offers your company the opportunity to join us as a partner in education. With the help of supporting members like yourself, we hope to offer a comprehensive program which leads to a new level of education and professionalism in practice.

These educational presentations will become part of the convention program and as such are separate from proprietorial technical presentations taking place during the trade show.

Educational Partners Principles:

1. Participating exhibitors may submit the abstract of a qualified speaker on topics relating to that industry’s field of expertise. If approved the speaker will be allotted one hour for presentation and Q & A. ONLY NON-PRODUCT PROMOTIONAL PRESENTATIONS WILL BE PERMITTED.2. Speakers must have speaking experience. Speakers represent not only their company or educational institution, but also the AOWMA, therefore a smooth delivery is essential.3. Speakers will submit their proposed abstract and full presentation to the AOWMA for weeks prior to the convention for final approval, scheduling, and inclusion in the convention proceedings.4. Speakers will supply AOWMA with a brief biography and a photo for the convention magazine.

MEET & GREETSponsor the Meet and Greet on Thursday night after the Trade Show closes for the evening. All delegates of the show will be invited to join us to network at this event. Sponsorship will provide complimentary drinks and snacks for the attendees of this relaxing social event. Sponsors will be recognized in the Delegate Brochure as well as in all advertising for the Meet & Greet.

SOCIAL NIGHTA Social Night will also be hosted on Friday night at the hotel. Friday’s event will provide another great opportunity to mingle with show attendees. Exhibitors and delegates will be invited to join us for Happy Hour, following which, the AOWMA and our sponsors will host a sit-down dinner with entertainment provided by Jim Ralph.

ENTERTAINMENTJIM RALPH - HOCKEY & HUMOUR

Jim Ralph is best known for his comical impersonations of famous Canadian sportscasters, including Foster Hewitt, Danny Gallivan, Dick Irvin, Bob Cole, Brian Williams and―of course―Don Cherry. A former professional hockey player, today Jim covers the Toronto Maple Leafs as colour commentator on their radio broadcasts, where his insightful observations and entertaining anecdotes keep fans informed and entertained. As an entertainer or emcee, Jim’s steady stream of one-liners makes him one of Canada’s most popular funnymen.

Jim began his broadcasting career co-hosting Rinkside, a weekly half-hour hockey show that aired on TSN. He has also been a reporter for Global Television’s Sportsline, and was co-host of Molson Leaf Hockey on the network as well.

Jim has presented at the Conn Smythe Celebrity Sport Dinner, presided at Wayne Gretzky’s star-studded slowpitch baseball tournament, appeared at the annual “Meet The Leafs” luncheon, and hosted the Hockey News award banquet, among countless other events.

PRINT ADVERTISING

Everyone knows that the better your advertising, the better the client pick-up you will see during and after the show. Each exhibitor package includes an opportunity to advertise your company and products in our Trade Show magazine. These opportunities range from ads as small as a business card, to full-page ads. Make sure that you submit your ad to our office as early as possible to ensure that you do not miss out on this excellent advertising option.

Contact our office if you don’t have an ad and need some help, if you want to upgrade to a larger sized ad, or if you wish to purchase additional ad space and we will be happy to help you maximize your marketing.

Again this year, we invite all Trade Show exhibitors to include something in our delegate bags. Each person who attends the show receives a delegate bag. Enclosed within is an array of marketing items. These can range from business cards to flyers, and even branded merchandise. This is an excellent way to ensure that all delegates take home your company’s information and maybe something more. People love free stuff and including something in our bags ensures that all delegates know who you are, even if they miss your booth. Some examples of suitable items are listed below. Those planning to participate should ensure to provide no less than 500 pieces of your enclosure.
