The Flamingo Hilton Hotel

While situated in the center of all theaction and excitement that is the LasVegas Strip, the Flamingo Hilton is a worldapart, featuring an enclosed 15 acretropical garden with meandering pools andwaterfalls. Guest Registration

Spouses and other guests are welcome and encouraged to register for the conferenceand attend the nightly receptions and theluncheon on March 29. The fee for guestregistration is $40.

Field Trip to Barrick Bullfrog GoldMine, Beatty, Nevada

Barrick Bullfrog Mine is a gold and silvermining operation located approximatelytwo hours northwest of Las Vegas nearBeatty, Nevada and Death Valley,California. Bullfrog utilizes a miningoperation using a cyanide lixiviant processfor gold and silver extraction. The minewill begin closure and reclamation during2000.

On the field trip, you will be visiting thelined tailings impoundment, lined reclaimponds and portions of the mill. The tailings facility is a 4-celled, 75 foot high,geomembrane lined structure. The totalcapacity of the tailing facility isapproximately 20,000 acre-feet. Alongwith viewing the dams and mill, there willbe an informal presentation on how thegold and silver are mined and processed.

Thursday, March 30, from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. Cost: $40 per person includes deluxeround trip transportation, guided tour, anda box lunch.
