The alternative was another one of her Nancy Drew: Missing Column articles, which I was bound to avoid this time in order to save face. SNAP! Productions Presents ake Me Out une 2 – June 26, 2005 s the College World Series heats up, SNAP! Productions’ new show ill throw you a curve ball. If you think that the College World Series

is the only baseball event in Omaha this month, then come see the home run hit of the season... Take Me Out. Now playing at the award winning theater company SNAP! Productions, Take Me Out is the 2003 Tony Award Winner play that packs an emotional grand slam. Take Me Out, written by Richard Greenberg, tells the story of Darren Lemming, the star center fielder of the world champion New York Empires, who is young, rich, famous, talented, handsome and so convinced of his popularity that he decides to call a press conference that results in an astonishing admission. Friends, fans and teammates react with ambivalence, and when the slipping Empires call up the young phenom Shane Mungitt to close their games, the ambivalence turns to violence. Angry, lonely, guilt-ridden and confused, Darren finds some unlikely solace in the form of friendship with his new business manager, Mason Marzac—a brilliant but repressed guy, who, as everyone around him copes with disenchantment, blooms in the ecstatic discovery of baseball. Michal Simpson directs this strikingly, bold drama with a cast that includes Kelcey Watson, Bryan Poole, Matt Allen, D.
