We hope you enjoyed the long weekend. Thank you to all of you who participated in our

Fall Fundraiser. It was a tremendous success. The items that you ordered went home

with your children this week. Our students are back at work and we are already planning

for the Thanksgiving and Christmas season. We can’t believe this year is going so fast!!

As a service project, our second graders have written letters to homebound seniors. They

were so excited to get some letters back. They even got a delivery of cookies from one of

the seniors. It just goes to show you that one small act of kindness can have a great im-

pact. Keep spreading kindness!!

Nursery Spotlight

Our nursery students have been busy learning through play. This week they have been

learning all about the letter B. They created an art project by using the letter B to make a

bumble bee and a bear. They also read the books The Bubble Bear and We are Going on

a Bear Hunt. Through these activities they are not only increasing phonemic awareness of

the letter b sound, they are also learning to listen attentively, retell a story and acquire and

use new vocabulary. As a species treat they even got to make brownies!

The nursery class is also getting ready for Thanksgiving. They created a turkey and an

acorn art project. They also learned fun Thanksgiving songs like Five Fat Turkeys. Baby

Shark Thanksgiving.

They even got a visit from Father Fonti this week and they were so excited to show them

their pet guinea pig!
