Tadali Oral Strip is a phosphodiesterase 5 (PDE5) inhibitor indicated for the treatment of erectile dysfunction. It is also used to treat the signs and symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) as well as a combination of BPH and erectile dysfunction when the conditions coincide. Tadalafil is rapidly absorbed and maximum concentrations after a single oral dose is reached in about 2 hours in the fasted state.

Cardiovascular Effects: Patients must not use Tadalafil Oral films if sex is inadvisable due to cardiovascular status.Risk of Priapism: In case that an erection lasts more than 4 hours, the patient should seek immediate medical assistance.Effects on the Eye: Patients should stop use of Tadali Oral Strip, and seek medical attention in the event of sudden loss of vision in one or both eyes, which could be a sign of nonarteritic anterior ischemic optic neuropathy (NAION).

Tadali orally disintegrating strips should be used with caution, and only when the anticipated benefits outweigh the risks, in patients with a history of NAION. Patients with a crowded optic disc may also be at an increased risk of NAION. Sudden Hearing Loss: Patients should stop using Tadali oral strips and seek medical attention in the event of sudden decrease or loss in hearing.Alpha-Blockers: Caution is advised when PDE5 inhibitors are co-administered with alpha-blockers like Tadalafil Oral Strips. In certain patients, use of these two medicine classes together can decrease blood pressure significantly leading to symptomatic hypotension (for example, fainting).

Contraindications

Tadali oral strips are contraindicated in patients with a hypersensitivity to Tadalafil or any other component of this medication. Tadalafil Oral Film should not be taken by patients being treated for angina (chest pain) or other heart conditions with certain medicines called nitrates. It should also not be used by men taking any nitrate medicines or the unapproved drug amyl nitrite.

Most common side effects observed in 2% or more of patients undergoing treatment with this medicine are headache, dyspepsia, back pain, myalgia, nasal congestion, flushing, and pain in limb.

Single doses up to 500 mg of Tadalafil have been given to healthy subjects, and multiple daily doses up to 100 mg Tadalafil have been given to patients. Adverse effects were similar to those observed at lower doses.
