Tactile 2011 – Call for submissions
Resonate Arts House, Alloa, Clackmannanshire present Tactile 2011 the first of an ongoing exhibition
curated by Scottish textile artists Linn McKellar and Nicola Glennie.
Tactile 2011 is a textile exhibition with a difference where visitors will be encouraged to touch the
exhibits. We’re looking for like -minded textile artists who appreciate the tactile qualities of their
chosen medium.
The exhibition will take place September 24th 2011 – 29th October 2011
Textile artists are asked to submit a piece of work which can be any textile based piece from quilting,
embroidery, felting, knitting, mixed media, weaving etc. It must be suitable for touching and can be
wall hanging or free standing.
An £8 admin fee will be payable per piece to support exhibition promotion and catalogue production
costs. All work must be available for sale and Resonate will take a 30% commission fee on all sales.
Artists will be responsible for insuring their works. Gallery ready works and fee must be available for
submission to Resonate Arts House, Unit 3, North Castle Street, Alloa, FK10 1EU on Sunday 11th
September 3-5pm or Monday 12th September 10 – 2pm

Deadline: 5pm 1st September 2011

Name and contact details
A maximum 150 word current artist’s biography in .doc format.
A maximum of 3 quality digital images of the whole piece you wish to submit. These will be used for
the catalogue.
The title, approximate size and hanging details of each piece should be given with the photos.
A maximum 150 words on why you wish to take part in Tactile 2011.
