Platelets + blood proteins form a blood clot over damaged capillaries

REPAIR STAGEAfter inflammation has been reduced Heat treatment increases

blood flow back to the area

(PHAGOCYTES) clear injury site by engulfing dead tissue and debris

New capillaries grow into area

Fibroblasts move into damage area and start laying down new protein (collagen fibres)

Collagen + blood from new capillaries combine to form EARLY SCAR TISSUE that draws torn fibres back together
