The LGA CFR Part 150 Study will quantify existing and future aircraft noise exposure levels, assess land use impacts according to federal standards, and seek ways to minimize those impacts to the greatest extent practical within CFR Part 150 guidelines. Your role will be to represent your organization on the TAC and to provide input to the Port Authority on the LGA CFR Part 150 Study. The TAC will meet on a regular basis over the next three years to provide technical input to the CFR Part 150 Noise Exposure Map and Noise Compatibility Program Documents. The Port Authority currently anticipates approximately 18 TAC meetings during the Study’s approximate three-year duration. Therefore, the Port Authority anticipates a TAC meeting will be held on average every other month. The TAC meetings will be held on weekdays during normal business hours (i.e., between 8 am – 5 pm). We anticipate that the TAC meetings will be approximately two to three hours in length and will be held at a location proximate to LGA. We will notify you of the meeting location as soon as it is set. While your participation is completely voluntary, once you commit to participating on the TAC, we will ask you to serve for the approximate three-year Study duration. We realize, however, that from time to time conflicts arise and you may be unable to attend a specific TAC meeting. To that end, we ask that you identify an alternate from your organization who will participate on the TAC in your absence. Please e-mail your intention to participate in the TAC and your alternate’s contact information to the Port Authority’s Project Manager Kelly Mitchell at [email protected] by 5 PM EDT on May 6, 2015.
